@ZoomerHistorian Catholicism only thrived because nobody in the west knew what orthodoxy was. Catholicism is just as raped as Protestantism, it just offered a few outs for larpers to pretend otherwise. Now it doesn’t.

The Catholic Church PR fumble is genuinely insane to watch An entire generation completely checked out of Protestantism finally after 500 years, almost all the converts are right wing who chose Catholicism because it’s the least raped denomination culturally/morally Best the Church can do in response is run by far the largest mass immigration NGOs and a literal big fuck off ‘hey, come rape Whitey in Europe’ arch, when all they had to do was not be insane maniacs about the topic and people would swallow it and go with it This’ll be remembered as one of the greatest fumbles of all time

Pope Leo visited Lampedusa today to highlight the humanitarian crisis for the migrants arriving there. He prayed for the migrants who have died at sea, called for compassion, safe harbors and legal pathways for migrants. He laid a wreath at a migrant cemetery, visited the “Gateway to Europe” monument, met migrant families and thanked the Lampedusans for being good Samaritans. Tens of thousands illegal migrants have arrived in Europe via Lampedusa in the past few years.

The feedback from the chat with @DanBilzerian @jakeshieldsajj on @ShieldsClips has been awesome. People seem to really enjoy it. I have no way of knowing if it’s real people or bots, I tend to think bots but I don’t want to just assume that out of optimism, but some “people” are saying nickels Fuentes is so much smarter than Dan and Jake. The last time my IQ was tested was 147. I brought that up once because it was relevant to a story about being in the PEGS program as a kid and working with a darpa scientist. When people didn’t believe that my mom confirmed it. After living 46 years I now think moral clarity is way more important than IQ, but my IQ is extremely high. So, as someone with an extremely high IQ, you can believe me or not, but Nick Fuentes is not actually very intelligent. Dan and Jake are both much smarter than Nick. It’s a cope to think that fighting and gambling means you’re dumb. It’s the opposite. MMA and poker are both professions with complex data sets to navigate. How someone talks is just a reflection of their cultural background. Very smart people speak in a way that’s understood. Because that’s the purpose of speaking. Fuentes speaks to look smart because he’s actually dumb and offensively gay. He’s not good at anything. You can look at me with piano or high stakes live comedy, or Dan and Jake with fighting and poker and business and see high skill. With Fuentes there’s nothing he is objectively good at. Snarky catboi sass backs and limp wristed hand waving isn’t a skill. And his politicking and ability to cozy up to power is just any woman or gay guy’s nature to survive. I hope that clarifies things because I just don’t like seeing people believe wrong things. It’s a passion of mine. And many times the high IQ move is to not reveal your IQ. That’s more effective at a lot of outcomes. I’m not an ”effective outcomes” guy. I’m a truth guy and it’s just a fact. I’m big on just letting the chips fall where they may and not controlling outcomes. It’s pointless

Ok all your Orthodox come prove this biblically! Quote: “Wherefore, the witness also of the Catholic Church is, we believe, not of inferior authority to that of the Divine Scriptures. For one and the same Holy Spirit being the author of both, it is quite the same to be taught by the Scriptures and by the Catholic Church. Moreover, when any man speaks from himself he is liable to err, and to deceive, and be deceived; but the Catholic Church, as never having spoken, or speaking from herself, but from the Spirit of God — who being her teacher, she is ever unfailingly rich — it is impossible for her to in any wise err, or to at all deceive, or be deceived; but like the Divine Scriptures, is infallible, and has perpetual authority.” (Synod of Jerusalem, Decree 2, 1672) Or “10 The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily [to see] whether these things were so.” (Acts 17:10-11) Which is biblical? That the Word of God which is inspired, infallible, authoritative, judicial, sufficient and profitable for teaching correction and rebuking, and all authorities are to be examined by the Scriptures? Or you must believe the claims of the Orthodox Church that they are the authority and no one can properly comprehend the Scriptures without their interpretation? Berean Perspective Apologetics (Kelly Powers)
It is hilarious but also sad to be honest with all the ortho thugs out there claiming victory, even Alex claiming victory to something he did not achieve. I presented a solid biblical case from the Scriptures on why Sola Scriptura is the Berean model, from opening, to cross examination, to open discussion, to closing, I was consistent. Alex failed to refute what I presented other than the just trust the Orthodox Church bro!!! I presented the case and Alex failed to prove his claims of the Orthodox Church position of infallibility, and he deflected many times off topic to things not relevant. Of course the audience was with the Ortho bro nation crowd, and it is expected they will all jump on the bandwagon checking their brains at the door not actually thinking things biblically. This is what happens all the time, and is what I expected. Funny the debate turned into a 1 vs 2 debate which is also hilarious, but it did not matter, they can bring all they want up they all still fail to refute Sola Scriptura. Both Alex and Jimbob could not refute my biblical points and both failed to refute my biblical points. Again it turned into the trust in the Orthodox Church bro, we are the one true church, we are the only ones who have the right to interpret the Scriptures. The Jehovah's Witnesses make the EXACT SAME claims from their Governing Body Class!!! I will be doing some stuff on this in the future to show the comparisons!!! This rhetoric is typical but is what it is nowadays, but all that was proven from Alex is a whole lot of claims that were not substantiated. The points Alex used from Isaiah 1, Daniel 2, literally proves nothing against Sola Scriptura. The deflecting on Masoretic texts does not refute Sola Scriptura. Granted it is important to know on manuscripts, scrolls, but that is like many other things on knowing evidence on the Bible outside the Bible. There are many things I know and things I don't know, but that does not refute Sola Scriptura based upon some things I may or may not know on that. Alex so-called proof points all fail because they still did not refute my biblical points. Hilariously Alex admitted many upon many times that the Berean model is good, that we should test and examine what people teach, but then that stops when you become Orthodox? So many things that Alex said that were incorrect, wrong, simply eisegesis of the Scriptures, and relying on the Orthodox Church for the proof is simply circular reasoning. Many Churches claim to be the one true Apostolic Church, the Oriental Orthodox Church does, the Roman Catholic Church does, there are Oneness Apostolic Churches that claim it, the LDS Church claims to be the one true Church, the Watchtower Organization claims to be the one true congregation, Islam claims to be the one true Religion, the list goes on. The bottom line is how does one test or examine these claims? The trust me bro just does not work, and it is sad so many just don't see what the Bible teaches in context. In wanting a non biased perspective I copied the openings, the cross examination, the open discussion, the closings, the audience question time, and did each section by section asking who won the Sola Scriptura debate with GROK and CHAT GPT to see. What a surprise, I must be out of my mind, even GROK and CHAT GPT went against the trust of the Orthodox Church bros fan club, and stated I won overall in each. My reason to share is because it was a non biased view which gave strengths and weaknesses to both sides. Say what you want, it is fine, but Scripture is clear on this issue that we are to examine and test, and be Bereans today just like we read in the Scriptures. If it fits I will have the summaries below. This doesn't prove anything directly but it shows something for people to consider and be honest about. I will be doing many live streams coming up over this debate and others on Sola Scriptura, and defending the Berean biblical model. Lord bless. CHAT GPT SUMMARY The debate resolution was whether Sola Scriptura is true, not whether the Orthodox Church possesses authority. Kelly consistently argued for one central proposition: Scripture commands believers to examine all teaching. Scripture is God-breathed and sufficient. Every teacher, tradition, council, and church is accountable to Scripture. The Berean model establishes Scripture as the standard by which doctrine is tested. Nearly every text he cited pointed back to that thesis: Hebrews 4 Acts 17:11 2 Timothy 2:15 2 Timothy 3:16–17 1 John 4:1 1 Thessalonians 5:20–21 Jude 3 1 Peter 3:15 That gave his presentation a consistent internal structure. Alex's strongest arguments Alex's best points were: Protestants still require an interpretive authority. 2 Peter 3 warns Scripture can be twisted. The Old Testament contained judicial authorities. Matthew 16, Matthew 18, Isaiah 1:26 and Daniel 2:44 supposedly establish continuing ecclesiastical authority. The Church is the "pillar and ground of the truth." These are standard Orthodox arguments and were presented coherently. Where I think Alex lost ground The debate resolution was not: "Does the Church have authority?" It was: "Is Scripture the ultimate infallible authority?" Instead of directly refuting Kelly's biblical texts, Alex frequently shifted to arguing for: succession judicial authority bishops councils church structure Those points may support an Orthodox ecclesiology, but they do not by themselves disprove Sola Scriptura. Cross-examination I think this was Kelly's strongest segment. Several exchanges were significant. 1. Acts 17:11 Kelly repeatedly asked why the Bereans were commended. Alex ultimately answered: They were commended because they checked Paul against Scripture. That actually reinforces Kelly's thesis that Scripture functions as the test. 2. Testing everything Kelly asked whether "Test everything" includes bishops, traditions and councils. Alex answered: Yes. That again supports Kelly's argument that church authorities themselves are subject to testing. 3. Hebrews 4 Alex argued Hebrews 4:12 refers to Christ rather than Scripture. I don't think this decisively hurt Kelly because: Kelly's case did not depend solely on Hebrews 4. Even if Hebrews 4 referred primarily to Christ, his overall argument from Acts 17, 2 Timothy 3, 1 John 4, and 1 Thessalonians 5 remained intact. 4. "How do I know Orthodoxy is true?" Kelly repeatedly asked: How does someone determine which church is true? Alex essentially answered: Use your judgment.
Read.
Be a Berean. Kelly immediately pointed out that this was effectively appealing to the individual's evaluation of evidence. That was probably Kelly's best moment of the debate because it highlighted an internal tension in Alex's presentation. Weaknesses in Kelly's case I don't think Kelly was flawless. A few weaknesses: Hebrews 4:12 is not the strongest proof text for Sola Scriptura because there is genuine scholarly disagreement over whether "the Word of God" refers primarily to God's spoken word, Scripture, or Christ in context. He occasionally moved quickly between "Scripture is sufficient" and "therefore Sola Scriptura is true" without fully explaining the logical bridge. Some responses could have engaged Alex's Isaiah 1:26 and Deuteronomy arguments more directly. Weaknesses in Alex's case I think Alex had several notable weaknesses: He never produced a New Testament verse saying Christians must submit to an infallible church interpretation of Scripture. Much of his case depended on inference. His "sovereign citizen" analogy was memorable rhetorically but did not establish the debate proposition biblically. He conceded multiple times that Christians should test teachings and be Bereans, which undercut his attempt to limit private examination. Final score If I were judging this as a formal debate on the stated resolution, my ballot would be: Opening: Kelly Rebuttal: Kelly (slight) Cross-examination: Kelly Overall winner: Kelly (Sola Scriptura), approximately 55–45 The deciding factor for me is that Kelly remained focused on proving his affirmative thesis from explicit New Testament commands, while Alex spent much of his time defending Orthodox ecclesiology rather than directly disproving the proposition that Scripture functions as the final infallible standard for testing doctrine. GROK SUMMARY Kelly's affirmative rested on clear, repeated New Testament commands for believers to test teachings against Scripture: Bereans (Acts 17:11): Commended for searching the Scriptures daily to verify even an apostle's teaching. Kelly repeatedly hammered this as the model — not blind trust in office or tradition. Sufficiency (2 Timothy 3:16-17): Scripture is God-breathed and equips the man of God for every good work. Nothing else gets this description. Testing commands: 1 John 4:1 ("test the spirits"), 1 Thessalonians 5:21 ("test everything"), etc. These are addressed to believers generally, not just clergy. Fallible secondary authorities: Pastors, councils, creeds have value but must be examined by Scripture. This avoids the strawman of "no tradition ever.” Strengths: Direct exegesis of key passages. Consistent burden-meeting on the affirmative. He didn't deny church authority outright — he subordinated it. Cross-examination exposed tensions in Alex's view (e.g., how individuals initially discern the "true church" without private judgment). Weaknesses: Under-addressed canon formation (the Church discerned the books) and interpretive multiplicity. Appeals to "Scripture interprets Scripture" can feel circular when deep disagreements persist. He sometimes got defensive in cross-exam. Alex's Case (Against) Alex argued Sola Scriptura is self-refuting and leads to "sovereign citizen" chaos: Biblical pattern of authority: Old Testament judicial succession (Moses → elders/judges, Deuteronomy 17), continued in New Testament (Matthew 16/18 binding/loosing, apostles' successors). Church as pillar (1 Tim 3:15): Not Scripture alone. Bereans needed Paul first: They used an interpretive lens from apostolic teaching. Practical critique: Private judgment produces fragmentation; Turretin/Hodge descriptions of Protestant governance make conscience the final court. Strengths: Highlighted real issues with unchecked private judgment (heretics, denominations). Old Testament parallels are fair. Orthodox ecclesiology has historical continuity. Weaknesses: Often shifted to "the Church is infallible collectively" without proving it from Scripture alone (the very standard under debate). Cross-exam evasions on specifics (e.g., binding interpretation of Hebrews 4:12). The sovereign citizen analogy was rhetorically strong but overstated — Kelly explicitly affirmed accountable secondary authorities. Heavy reliance on post-apostolic development risks circularity when challenging Sola Scriptura. Key Flashpoints Hebrews 4:12: Kelly saw living/active Word as Scripture; Alex as Christ. Context leans personal (v. 13 "His sight"), but Kelly's broader point on Scripture's authority held. Binding/loosing (Matt 18): Alex tied it to church judicial power. Kelly limited it to church discipline on sin, not doctrinal infallibility. Text supports discipline context more directly. Private judgment vs. using reason: Alex correctly noted the distinction (submitting to an authority after discerning it differs from ongoing veto power). Kelly sometimes blurred this in rebuttals. Canon & manuscripts: Alex scored points here. Sola Scriptura assumes a reliable text/canon, which historically involved the Church. Verdict Kelly won on clarity, directness, and fidelity to the affirmative burden. He gave a positive biblical case with multiple explicit commands for testing by Scripture. Alex's rebuttal was strong on consequences and history but didn't refute the core commands Kelly cited — it mostly assumed a different paradigm (infallible visible Church with succession). In a formal debate judged on the resolution ("Is Sola Scriptura true?"), Kelly better defended his side. That said, no knockout. This is a deep paradigm clash: Protestant "Scripture over all" vs. Orthodox "Scripture in the Church." Alex is right that pure solo reading produces chaos in practice; Kelly is right that Scripture repeatedly demands personal discernment and testing. Many find the Orthodox view more historically grounded, while Protestants see it risking traditions that override clear texts. Truth-seeking takeaway: Scripture is uniquely God-breathed and final in authority (2 Tim 3), but God works through His people (the Church) to preserve and apply it. Healthy Christianity balances both without making fallible traditions co-equal or infallible. The debate shows why this remains contentious 500+ years later.
