🌱 I bought a lawn mower this weekend. I didn’t expect it to change the way I think about AI. But here we are. See, I stood there staring at my overgrown lawn — patches of chaos, no clear direction — and I realized: this is exactly what most companies’ AI strategies look like right now. Everyone has the grass. Very few people own the mower. Here’s what 45 minutes of yard work taught me about leading in the age of artificial intelligence: 1. You have to start before it’s perfect. My lawn wasn’t ready to be mowed. But waiting for the “right moment” is how you end up with a jungle. Ship the MVP. Iterate. 2. Overlap your passes. Miss a strip and it shows. AI implementation is the same. Systems thinking. No silos. 3The machine does the work. You set the direction. I didn’t push every blade of grass. I pushed the mower. That’s called leverage. That’s called prompting with intention. 4. Some sections need a second pass. Fine-tuning isn’t failure. Fine-tuning is leadership. By the end, I had a clean lawn. And a cleaner vision for Q3. DeFi users should be much more cautious right now. AI agents are making vulnerability discovery faster and cheaper. In smart contracts, one bug can be catastrophic. I’m increasingly uncomfortable with the risk/reward of DeFi.

@PolyPup It's not just crypto, we're getting hit with supply chain hacks(npm,GitHub,etc)/leaked credentials/keys more than ever before, too. It's like all those people who kept telling us to do security properly were right all along haha

@OverJumpRally @AshConnell Fair call, hate the visible pop-ins as well, they can be good if done well though, just in some scenes you want something more legible in the distance rather than some noise, all depends on your setup and goals/style

funny watching people do nanite on threejs/web but what we really need is hlod. having ~5 meshes shown thousands of times is not a use-case anybody has, but big open worlds with hundreds/thouands of unique meshes is actually useful.

@alightinastorm If you use it right, it is a brain extension, but if you use it wrong you can use it to outsource all your thinking

@OverJumpRally @AshConnell Also has dynamic/adaptive triangles for LOD, so if they are far away they are simplified, but it's still better if you have LOD's as the nanite ones can be noisy

@AshConnell @samtechcoded Culling is a thing. If a Nanite mesh is not shown, it's not called.
