@WaltzingMtilda Have you done a desert road trip while listening to Seger? Life changing.

@amm_chino @JoshInEncinitas A trust is not “gaming the system” and you don’t have to be rich to have one. Less than $3k to have one created.
English

@JoshInEncinitas Rich White people know how to game the system more than anybody.

It’s all trusts and corps. Here’s a random area in La Jolla.

San Diego is beautiful, especially La Jolla, but I am confused on how anyone can afford to live here, especially in La Jolla
English

@JoshInEncinitas The annoyance people have with this is that if probate is so bad, and trust is the way to go, why is this not the default option and behavior afforded to every American out of the box?
We all know the answer!

@LuisG1805 @JoshInEncinitas $2.5k for the last trust I had created.
English

@JoshInEncinitas A trust is roughly 5k to set up. Good investment when you own a home. A living trust means they are alive and will leave it to their kids. Its how your how's doesn't go into probate which is what the state wants to do, you know take your house.

@megievalist @SketchesbyBoze My library also has a nice ocean view and is a great place to just sit and read.

People sleep on libraries!
I've gone to gardening workshops and received free plants
I listen to audiobooks for free
I can avail myself of up-to-date newspapers and magazines when I infrequently feel like it
etc. It's more than just books to read, which is also a great perk!
Lu for Alaska@luinalaska
If you’re an adult without a library card stop talking to me immediately we can’t be friends.
English

@megievalist @SketchesbyBoze I do my taxes in the library to stop myself from dropping f-bombs every five minutes.

The Far Side and Calvin & Hobbes both shut down in 1995.
Very poetic.
Two Mt. Rushmore newspaper comic strip artists (Gary Larson, Bill Watterson) leaving the game right before internet takes off.
I wrote more on why Watterso retired here:

I'm not sure what to make of this. A cruise ship is zooming through the Strait of Hormuz
