@slotevig @NickGormanWX @JonnyGlessner Hi. I was there. This lasted about 15mins before we all moved either inside or out of the way. We realized our mistake. This was hours before people were removed.

You had the chaser convergence at the Loves in Bloomington and you had just as many at the Wally’s in Pontiac. One group loitered around the gas pumps. The other did not. Have some common sense and courtesy when you’re out chasing. The world does not revolve around you!

@ChasingWConnor Pt.2 I don’t know if you livestream at all but if I was you I would unplug from all of that and become a lone wolf. Thats what I did years ago after I realized how the chase community will literally will eat it’s own for their own clout.

For all the morons complaining I am all about myself and I don’t check on damage or help people, I have a torn ACL/meniscus. I can barely walk. I am not doing search and rescue when I can’t even walk. I have checked on countless hit structures live on my stream before. Thanks! Also, as a storm chaser, don’t think you are required to do search and rescue. You are not and in most cases it’s better to just keep chasing and stay out of the way of the people who are properly trained. I am not trained nor of much help in the matter so unless I see a house destroyed right in front of me I keep chasing.

@ChasingWConnor I get what you are saying. I watch the livestreams and see all kinds of dumb stuff going on. People driving into oncoming traffic, people blocking traffic, chasers blowing by destroyed homes. I don’t think half the people complaining have any high ground to stand on.

There is also a lot of liability involved in rescuing people. Since most storm chasers are not certified first responders or EMTs, crush syndrome is a risk: if a victim has been pinned under heavy debris for a long period, removing the debris can cause a sudden release of toxins into their bloodstream, leading to heart failure. Only medical professionals can manage this during extraction. There is also the "Good Samaritan" limitation. While laws vary, performing advanced extraction without training can lead to further injury or legal complications. You could also encounter structural instability and put yourself in harm's way, causing first responders to divert time to rescue you. With a torn meniscus—and I have had one before, and it’s horrible—it’s best to stay clear of the scene, report it to 911, and, if needed, position your car to alert drivers to debris until responders arrive. You would not be able to move quickly, would have a hard time walking over debris, and could cause further damage to your leg. Only do what you feel you can safely do. Calling it in and continuing to chase may be the only option, since following the storm path and alerting others ahead of it is just as important—especially by providing reports of the damage you’re seeing. The best thing a chaser can do is report and coordinate. If a chaser feels the urge and is physically able, remember not to block access, as it slows responders. You could mark locations with spray paint where you hear voices, help the injured walk to safety if possible, and alert other drivers to the damage—especially by using your car’s emergency lights to keep them from driving into it.

Proof that Texas Panhandle magic does exist in March! This tornado occurred on March 13th, 2021 during a rare early season MDT risk for the region and was my first career tornado aside from a landspout I saw a year prior while living in Colorado. Excited to see what this Thursday has in store for us!

Airport quesadilla at SFO during a layover...perfect time to watch @ConvChronicles forewarn me about high FOMO in March and June! Hopefully the pattern cooperates during our early June tour. 🙏

I've never used such a trash delivery company as @UPS 3 times now the delivery date has changed for absolutely no reason, today the driver was literally 2 blocks away and it still got rescheduled until tomorrow. Do better!
