@Linda40903643 @CharlotteCGill That is literally what happens now; charities who gain no donations receive no funding from the government. Some of those who do receive funding may receive some gift aid, where applicable.

@CharlotteCGill If they rely on tax payers money via the government shut them all down. Cut taxes and allow people to decide personally which if any charities they want to support.

We need to get rid of tens of thousands of charities (there are over 170k registered on the Charity Commission for England and Wales). Many are socialist fronts. We can’t have this system continue. It makes a mockery of democracy, especially as so many are taxpayer funded.

Around the turn of the century politicians decided that Britain was no longer acceptable shorthand for the country we live in. Instead, they rebranded as ‘UK’. Ugly ‘UK’ branding was slapped everywhere. They diminished our identity and now we’re UKians, not British.

So Oxford Council have refused a St George’s celebration as this could cause trouble & hate but it’s ok for hundreds to pray on our streets. Forgive me if I’m wrong but I thought this was the UK.
