Pauline Hanson who just this week apologised for her volunteer’s violent conduct only to retract it within 24 hours has today said that the people of #Farrer should vote One Nation because “We don’t say something and then retract it.”🤔🙄 #auspol

Jess Wilson reckons the 'back office' doesn't support the frontline. She's never had a real job, and it shows. Who pays the nurses? Rosters the police? Runs the hospital IT? Processes the teacher payroll? Cut them and the frontline stops.

Twiggy Forrest, whose company Fortescue Mining is Australia’s third biggest tax payer, has just called for an END to diesel subsidies for mining companies like his. You won’t hear Gina Rinehart’s One Nation advocating for that. #auspol

Steph Hodgins-May unloads on the govt for “literally quoting” gas industry’s lines that it’s “not the right time” to tax gas exports. “If it’s not the right time to get a fair share for our gas when they are set to make obscene wartime profits, when is the time?”💥 #auspol

The issue isn’t that @AusFedPolice should be held institutionally accountable for the actions of individual officers racism and corruption, however, the AFP must be held institutionally accountable when they refuse to deal with individuals within its ranks when their racism and corruption are exposed. Rather than dealing with Constable Rowena Penfold’s alleged racism and corruption, they promoted her to Commander, the third highest rank in the AFP. She was caught out allegedly planting “evidence” once, how many times has she gotten away with it, how many innocent victims of Penfold’s racism and corruption are there … the fact that there are no consequences for wrongdoing only emboldens the criminal and potentially creates more innocent victims…
blakandblack@blakandblack

🚨 AFP wants MORE powers & budget? Not until they clean house on their 20+ year racism scandal. No more authority over Indigenous lives while commanders like Rowena Penfold skate on unaddressed allegations of evidence planting, theft, and racist abuse. Full stop. 🛑 For two decades @AusFedPolice has failed to confront deep internal racism — and the case of AFP Commander Rowena Penfold is Exhibit A. Back in the early 2000s, Penfold (then a Constable) was involved in the investigation following Angel Marina’s infamous 9 May 2002 racist letter. That letter — written by a mid-level ACT public servant — viciously targeted his Indigenous boss, the Commissioner for ACT Revenue, a Stolen Generations survivor. It branded Indigenous people “compulsive liars and criminals” and demanded his removal purely on racial grounds. Instead of impartial policing, Penfold allegedly crossed every ethical line: •While executing search warrants at the Commissioner’s ACT property, she allegedly made serious racist comments. •She allegedly stole the one and only photo this Stolen Generations man had with his father — a priceless, irreplaceable piece of family history. •She allegedly planted evidence on two hard drives seized from the property. •When challenged, Penfold and the AFP could not produce an unbroken chain of custody for those drives. •When the defence insisted the drives be independently examined by an IT forensic expert at the University of NSW, the AFP immediately dropped all charges relating to the hard drives. Case closed. No accountability. Worse still? Penfold allegedly socialised with Angel Marina — the very author of that vile racist letter — during her “investigation.” Conflict of interest? More like a revolving door of cronyism and bias. Despite formal complaints, audio evidence of the racist remarks, and a Supreme Court acquittal (16-0) that exposed the shoddy “case,” Penfold faced zero consequences. She has since been promoted all the way to Acting Commander. This isn’t ancient history. These allegations remain unaddressed in 2026. The AFP is now pushing for expanded national security powers and fresh funding — including that $74 million Counter Terrorism Online Centre announced days ago. But when the force can’t even police its own racists, when commanders who allegedly steal family heirlooms and plant evidence get rewarded instead of sacked … they forfeit the right to demand more power over anyone, especially First Nations communities. Indigenous Australians have endured enough “just us” from policing. Real justice starts with the AFP admitting the Penfold scandal, investigating it transparently, and holding senior officers accountable — before a single extra dollar or power is handed over. No more powers. No more blank cheques.
Fix the racism first.

Honestly, @billshortenvcuc, please just stop. As a parent of a kid with a bit of autism, a bit of ADHD and a lot of psychosis - the whole 'disability lite' thing just doesn't float when you look at 'primary diagnosis'. Here. Have a real story. Jeffrey. I'll only share this because Jeffrey is a bit whitegirl famous in WA for holding up stores in his undies. Man charged with bizarre McDonald's robbery | PerthNow perthnow.com.au/news/nsw/man-c… That was in 2010. And then it was Chicken Treat, years later. WA's shitty system meant that he got more and more broken til it was intervention time. Five hours a day of support from an org I do NOT rate. And then, inevitably, it's prison - or WA's terrible unfit-to-plead laws, which mean you can be jailed forever, even without charge. THE STATE OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA -v- BRITTAIN [2018] WASC 387 (13 December 2018) austlii.edu.au/cgi-bin/viewdo… The cut off for intellectual disability was 70. A little bit of ID, right? But throw in the rest and then you have a lot of whoop-arse when it comes to managing your life without support. I know. I ran some TAFE classes and almost all of the kids in some of those classes were kids who could not access the old state system. Like me; I had a job and equipment was means tested, so I could not access a wheelchair unless I quit. The NDIS has always been shit at the idea of 'primary disability'. Most of us have more than one disability. And the thought of Health building the black box for this thing is fucking terrifying, because the initial data is incorrect. Have you noticed that there are people protesting every day, ringing politicians' offices, that there is a National Day of Protest on Sunday and that disabled people are flocking to Canberra on the 13th? You know how we fight. And ironically, the NDIS gave us the ability to fight harder. We have a whole new generation of people who grew up with the support that they need and who are not going to give up without one hell of a fight. I wonder where Jeffrey is now. No news articles, pantsless or not, since he gained access to the NDIS. Maybe he is in prison. Or maybe, just maybe, he got the support that he needed to live an ordinary, good life. You can donate to our cause here. Donate | DEI Australia deiaustralia.com.au/donate?fbclid=… Our fight is just beginning. dpacaustralia.net

Media reporting on the Antisemitism RC has been simply pathetic so far. After endlessly targeting protestors & bridge marches, they’ve gone silent now that Commissioner Bell hasn't mentioned them once. She blamed Israel’s wars instead. Where are the headlines? #auspol

Well, well, well. Who is exactly IS running Australia, @AlboMP? Toto? Because in 2023, Peter Dutton - Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles' best friend - said that he would cut the NDIS to fund submarines. And it is probably not a coincidence that the brutal razor-gang commissioned to kill off the NDIS we fought for has proposed that we cut the NDIS to 'save' almost exactly the same amount as it will cost for #AUKUS submarines. Here is the math: If the government cancelled its NDIS cuts, it would cost the budget $17.6 billion over the next four years. This proves the government is taking exactly $17.6 billion away from disabled people. If the government cancelled the AUKUS submarines, it would save $18.0 billion over the exact same four years. The problem is that by choosing war over people, you've created a war of another kind. A war with disabled people, our families, our workers and supporters - and with 204,000 jobs and 300,000 lives on the chopping block, a Federal election in two years is looking pretty grim. Disability groups released fact sheets today about the sustainability of the NDIS and the real facts on sustainability, fraud, institutions and registration of providers. dpacaustralia.net/get-involved/d… We are going to kill our most vulnerable, including disabled children, to pay for war machines. That doesn't seem right, or fair. Let alone humane. This will be a genocide of another kind. And the idea of Defence is to PROTECT AUSTRALIANS - including those who cannot fight for themselves. @AustralianLabor is going to lose the Federal election, and it will be because of what they have done to a third of our countrymen. Shame. #auspol theguardian.com/australia-news… #AUKUS #Gaza #NDIS #KeepThePromise #ProtectOurNDIS
