Prof. Nuwagaba visits Nkumba University, donates his latest economics publication The Deputy Governor of the Bank of Uganda, Prof. Augustus Nuwagaba, was today at Nkumba University where he officially delivered a copy of his book, Transformative Economics: Understanding the Pathway to Economic Transformation, as part of efforts to support academic research and policy engagement. He was received by Dr. John Byamukama, the Dean of the School of Business Administration, who appreciated the Professor’s contribution towards strengthening economic scholarship at the University. Prof. Nuwagaba noted that the book provides an in-depth analysis of Uganda’s economic policies, development trajectory and the country’s pathway towards economic transformation. During his visit, the Deputy Governor also toured the university premises where he got a first-hand view of the institution’s infrastructure developments, including the University master plan. Dr. Byamukama further invited the Professor of Economics to participate in the forthcoming Nkumba International Research Conference scheduled for May 28, 2026. #I_Owe_You

I joined the Makindye Division community-led Weyonje clean-up this morning across Pantalewo, Buyinja, Bukiligi, and Kataba zones in Kabalagala Parish Makindye division. Focus remains on mindset change toward proper sanitation practices, large-scale waste evacuation, and timely toilet emptying. Local leaders were urged to sustain community sensitization and stand firm against poor sanitation practices, which directly impact residents’ health and wellbeing. Together, we can build a cleaner city free from sanitation-related diseases. @KCCAUG
