Judge Orders Subnautica 2 Studio CEO Fired By Krafton To Be Reinstated And Gives Him Full Control Over Early Access Steam Launch The judge found that Krafton broke their agreement when they fired Gill and the co-founders last summer without a good reason. - Ted Gill is back as CEO right away with full control of the studio. - He has complete say over when and how Subnautica 2 launches in Early Access on Steam. - Krafton cannot block him or interfere with the launch. - The big bonus payment (up to $250 million) linked to the game's release and success is active again until September 2026.

I think these are fine. It's a discounted rate for a commitment. You're not forced into it. You get this with a ton of different services. You can commit to a year and get a discounted rate for an EC2 instance. You get a discounted rate for a longer Xfinity contract. Now if there's misleading marketing behind it. That's not good. And I know Adobe makes the UX painful to cancel, which is also a problem. But people need to be smarter about what they get themselves into. If you sign up for a payment plan, you need to follow through with it. Or don't sign up for the year long choice to begin with.

Opencode just confirmed 160 layoffs but sources inside are telling me the real story is so much worse Word from three different VPs: the 160 number is just “Phase One” — internal docs show another 140 cuts planned for Q2 A director walked me through their new “efficiency matrix” — entire teams being replaced by 2–3 senior engineers running 200 Opencode TUI instances, 50 Opencode Desktop, and 2 Opencode mobile instances each. The tooling division got completely hollowed out. 20 engineers two day ago. 2 remaining after this week. All internal tooling development moved to a Off-Cloud team of 2 interns with Opencode Black access. Here’s the sick part: they’re making the outgoing engineers document their entire decision-making process into “knowledge transfer sessions” that are being recorded and fed directly into Opencode training datasets One staff engineer told me he spent his final two hours creating detailed prompt libraries, workflow documentation and twitter shit-poster skills. Thought he was being helpful for the transition Turns out he was literally training the Opencode agent that replaced his entire org The contractors offcloud are using his exact prompts and shipping features 20% faster than his old team of 350 ever did Internal Discord shows leadership celebrating “operational excellence” while badges get deactivated in real time They’re calling it “right-sizing for the AI era,” according to Dax in the all-hands But the P&L sheets I’m seeing show $2.8M in salary savings this quarter alone

And just like that, the US Supreme Court declines to hear a dispute over copyrights for AI-generated material. It would be a real shame if people used Companies' AI generated assets for their own purposes without fear of copyright infringement... Wouldn't it be funny if this ends up applying to vibe coded apps as well?

Alright interns, we need to have some real talk here I am tired of vibing on stream. I dont really like vibe coding unless its a tool i have no desire to build (how i manage things on my stream / how i write my youtube videos are great examples of things i would never build but i have). I dont like vibing the things i care about. I hate the code it generates, i hate the feeling of getting everything i ask for and nothing i want. I hate the subtle offness around vibe coded things. It is just driving me nuts. So for the next while i am going to be done vibing on stream. I genuinely have been trying my hardest to make this work and i cannot quite put a finger on why i hate it, but i do. And i just feel so horribly guilty and wrong because i am not getting the results of "everyone else on twitter." How am i, someone who prides themselves on making youtube videos that i think are actually good for people. To make videos that help people laugh at the silliness of tech or learn something new. But here i am not able to keep up with all these people claiming the sky is literally coming down. I just feel horrible and guilty about it. Now i know the world is changing fast, and i want to be able to understand that change super well, be able to talk about it, be able to give really accurate opinions about it so for the last 3 months i have vibe coded an absurd amount of things. But now... i am just tired of it. I dont want this any more. I want to be a tradcoder. I dont know why i told everyone this, but i just have this growing sickness that is just eating me alive around vibing and i dont know how to express it. You all are fired, CEO ThePrimeagen
