TikTok has done immeasurable damage to the intellectual development in this country. You should almost always never be listening to someone speaking confidently and provocatively on video—the qualities required for going viral there is opposed to actual thought and insight.

Feels like the arguments I’m seeing right now are evidence that a bulk of young people get their understanding of social movements from random accounts on TikTok. And that seems like a terrible way to understand complex social and intellectual struggles.

@FemCondition I'd emphasize that your issues didn't lead them to abuse you. That's 100 percent on them, and you bear no part of the responsibility. The only thing is it made you more vulnerable to them and possibly stay when otherwise you would've realized sooner.

I'm going to say something controversial: I take MY part for being in abusive relationships. The abuser? Absolutely to blame for their actions. Me? I had contributions. I had unhealed wounds. I had my own irrational beliefs. They lead me to abuse and for a part, kept me there. I'm saying this because if I didn't do the work to confront myself, I'd have done it again. You're not to blame, but you are yours to heal.

Finally getting around to doing some real vibe coding for a side project. (BSA Troop web site.) Before, my use of AI was just chatting with ChatGPT and cut and pasting responses. I finally installed copilot and have an agent in the loop that can read the repository and edit files.

As expected, once you run Crimson with the actual highest settings, the 4K60 native dream is gone
