I’ve given up alcohol several times (dry January, lent twice, and core AIP diet for 4 months) and never felt any different
I’m sure there are marginal health benefits, but honestly given the social cost and downsides I’m not convinced it’s a net benefit

Friends, stop drinking alcohol. Not cut back. Eliminate. > alcohol increases cortisol > disrupts REM sleep > accelerates epigenetic aging > shrinks hippocampal volume > elevates resting heart rate > raises inflammatory markers > impairs glucose metabolism for 16 hrs One drink does that.

@CoachDanGo Dang. I just take one teaspoon. I’ll up it to two. Thanks.

NEW: Woman who downed 14 shots of tequila before falling on a Carnival cruise ship is set to receive $300,000 from Carnival.
45-year-old nurse, Diana Sanders, is getting the large sum of money after she blacked out and fell.
The lawsuit claims Sanders suffered "severe injuries, including, but not limited to, a concussion, headaches, a possible traumatic brain injury, back injuries, tailbone injuries, bruising, and other injuries."
Sanders blames the bartenders for serving her too much alcohol.
You have to be kidding me.

@UncaDD @wallstengine I definitely would have agreed until they made that deal with $NVO.

$HIMS shares are up more than 20% after RFK Jr. said the FDA will reevaluate several wellness peptides now under restriction. The move is only procedural for now, but it could open future peptide revenue streams and help redeploy GLP-1 capacity.

@wallstengine Dang. I knew I should’ve held my calls overnight. Ugh.

@SecKennedy Awesome! Let’s continue with all sorts of other peptides, different nootropics, and helpful supplements!

Today, we took long-overdue action to restore science, accountability, and the rule of law.
In September 2023, the Biden FDA pushed a number of peptides into Category 2 — “Bulk Drug Substances that Raise Significant Safety Risks” — driving a dangerous black market that puts Americans at risk.
Now, after nominators withdrew 12 peptides, the FDA will remove them from Category 2 and will bring them to PCAC at its next two meetings, beginning in July—where independent experts will rigorously evaluate each substance on its scientific merits using full clinical, pharmacological, and safety evidence.
• BPC-157
• Thymosin beta-4 fragment (LKKTETQ)
• Epitalon
• GHK-Cu (injectable)
• MOTS-c
• DSIP (Emideltide)
• Dihexa Acetate
• Ibutamoren Mesylate
• Melanotan II
• KPV
• Semax (heptapeptide)
• Cathelicidin LL-37
This action begins to restore regulated access and will immediately begin shifting demand away from the black market.
We will follow the science, enforce the law, and deliver the clarity patients, providers, and pharmacies deserve.

@sentdefender @RapidResponse47 @lookner Just because they were then, doesn’t mean they weren’t another time years later.

@RapidResponse47 @lookner Tell that to the hundreds of NATO-led coalition troops killed in Afghanistan in the defense of the United States after 9/11.

@CoffeeBlackMD We all die at the end no matter what we do. I have no desire to live like a monk.
English

No. I like a drink. Ffs.
You don’t have to get trashed.
“But even one drink …” STFU, nerd.
Look. I don’t care if you never ever ever ever wanna ever again. That’s cool. We can hang. Imma have one. Maybe. Idk. It doesn’t matter. I’m not dying like ten years before you for it.

@CoffeeBlackMD I do like to get trashed too once in a while. Balance it out by being healthy otherwise and it’s fine I think.
English

@LangmanVince This is fine. There are other things to point out about them, but this isn’t one. It’s fine.
