@currys #Poole just been to the store and spoke with the general manager, unwilling to show me their policy in relation to assistance dogs. Advised me that a Dog barking can trigger #PTSD for some of their customers. It’s be good to see the policy and its wording which was denied

@LBC @NickFerrariLBC I have for many years advocated for significant change in the veterans space, the government do not have a clue how to do it, other than to take others ideas and directions. Implement them poorly and say look at what we do. The charities are often even worse.

@geordie_proud I find this very interesting, I once approached the cabinet office for the development of a digital veterans ID card that I had developed, they said I had to be a contractor or work with GDS. one thing I was looking at was decentralised data confirmation rather than centralised.

The following "STINKS" IMO The Britcard/Digital -ID App, will run on every Adult phone in the UK if Starmer and Co. get their way and we let it happen... Multiverse, an edtech company specializing in AI-driven upskilling, apprenticeships, and digital platforms for talent matching and training, is reportedly developing or powering the app infrastructure for the Britcard. Multiverse is a UK-US multinational company Co-founded by Euan Blair - the son of Tony Blair. Euan Blair asthe co-founder and CEO of Multiverse, valued at over £1.4bn. Euan is reported to have 25% ownership of Multiverse, whiich based on the valuation above, would make his stake value approx £375m... Tony Blair himself is indirectly linked via his institute (TBI), which has advocated for digital ID systems for years...an TBI is adviser to Gvnt. I tried to find a Tender process - but I quick search, I found no public record of a formal bidding process or tender notice for the Britcard digital ID app development contract awarded to (or involving) Multiverse or any other company... @AlistairCarns Digital veterans ID card is something I spoke with the cabinet office about in 2018/19 Mercer chose to ignore it and my offer of the technology so it could be free to veterans was ignored. Happy to discuss.

Lots of people have asked me… Why did you leave the military? The answer is simple: ‘To deliver change faster and at a greater scale’. In a hierarchical organisation (the military) I thought that the ability for me to enact the change demonstrated in Ukraine wasn’t possible. So this time last year I came out of the military with a vision and a goal to try and deliver meaningful change. Luckily, I was given the opportunity to accomplish more than I could have dreamed of when I started my service as a 19 year old Marine recruit.    Today, exactly one year on from officially entering government, I can say that that transition was worth it. The energy and drive committed to this endeavour has resulted in significant steps forward.   We have:    * Secured c£4Bn for uncrewed systems. Drones, drones and drones. *Secured c£1Bn for an integrated targeting web. *Secured c£400m for rapid innovation. *Secured money to develop the next long range missile system. *Secured money to develop 6 new armaments factories. *Started to reshape our very outlook on Defence, from one focused on small scale interventions to a whole of society approach. *Delivered the biggest Armed Forces pay rise in over 20 years, boosted retention with targeted payments, and expanded childcare support for families posted overseas.   * We launched VALOUR— our new £50m institutionally resilient support structure for veterans. VALOUR is the first time in decades that a Government has stepped up and taken responsibility and ownership for all parts of veteran care and support.   * Introduced vital new support programmes for our veterans including Op ASCEND, which helps veterans source meaningful employment, and make the transition out of service to civilian life more effectively.  * Secured £3.5 million to help tackle veteran homelessness  * Rolled out plans for a new Digital Veteran Card  * Changed housing rules to make it easier for veterans to get social housing  * Improved military housing standards and regained control of Defence accommodation, while saving the taxpayer £600,000 a day.     * Brought back the Strategic Reserve to re-establishing our resilience in a crisis,   * Committed to a 30% increase in our Cadets to enhance social mobility, provide opportunity for the youth of the nation.  * Launched the Etherton Ribbon and a £75 million compensation scheme to support LGBT+ veterans along with a new memorial in their honour.  * Expanded the Nuclear Test Medal criteria so more people get the recognition they deserve.  * put in place an independent unit and a new task force to deal with the most serious complaints and violence against women and girls, this responds to the Government’s commitment to halve Violence Against Women and Girls.   Much more to go but we have delivered more for our military, veterans and service personnel than at almost any other time in recent history, and we have no intention of stopping.     Oh and I also climbed Everest for veterans charities!

@niveteran @TomWRoss @VeteransGovUK @greatermcr Strange this is, I put the plan to an Armed Forces Minister back in 2013/14 and was told it was a good direction to pursue then JM had all his OP’s ideas taken from others and now looking at coordination again but this will fail as using hubs.

@AlistairCarns I’ve been working on the coordination of the sector for 13 years and what is being suggested is in my opinion just duplication of the work carried out over the time. I know the reasons why valour will struggle and how to implement the changes needed for it to succeed.

Our Northern VALOUR pilot has launched 🚀 Thank you to Greater Manchester Combined Authority, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Liverpool City Region for getting on board, and I look forward to working collaboratively to drive this forward. This Armed Forces Week we are celebrating our Armed Forces, their families and in this launch today, we are taking decisive action to fix what veterans have been telling us for years - support services are too fragmented and difficult to navigate. I am particularly proud that veterans, local authorities and the third sector will be at the heart of developing VALOUR further, and I am immensely proud of my team for making this happen.

@MrBeast When trying for years to make positive change for so many, I’ve found it’s only the people who have a platform who seemingly can get there aims across, but often people also don’t want to help others or see people doing it as they feel it’s not their responsibility.

My 2 worst preforming videos this year are the ones where I help people. Just thought I’d share this because some people think I just do it for views but I would get way more views if I didn’t help thousands of people walk and give away a million meals. People would also hate me less lol. Doesn’t matter though, I’m gonna keep doing it because I’m the most subscribed YouTube channel in the world and I believe using my platform to inspire people to do good is important (and I also like making these videos)
