The #1 criteria for my browser is that I trust it, and it’s secure. It’s logged into my email, Stripe account, stores my passwords and credit cards.
A browser is useful if it does all these.
These AI browsers are interesting but… with prompt injections, no way I trust them…

its very hard to justify not moving to austin.
One bedrooms in NYC are 4k.
In SF and LA it is 3k.

In Texas, you can build housing stock... it's insane. They're building everywhere. AND we have 10% vacancy for apartments in Austin... so rents have gone down 18% in three years -- and they're still adding supply! If you make $100,000 in California, and you pay $4,000 a month rent, you would save $24,000 a year in housing and $9,000 in state taxes -- $33,000 more cash PER YEAR. You could get married, have a baby and buy a home... Now do the math if you're a double-income family and you make $500,000 or $1 million a year. It's crazy.

@euboid @ferndeskhq We may not be your ICP, but IMO being the “AI help desk” seems like a difficult proposition. Help centers are not something that businesses like switching often.

Should I add a free tier to @FerndeskHQ?
Pros:
- Powered by marketing
- Extra SEO juice (especially with today’s update 👀)
- Can A/B test funnel at scale
- Increased word of mouth
Cons:
- Will attract users outside my ICP (solo founders, hobbyists)
- 90% of people who sign up will probably never pay.
- Support will get brutal over time.
- Skewed metrics (activation, retention etc)
- I don’t have a large team
The biggest pro is powered by marketing. It takes forever to compound but once it does it becomes a huge lever.
Apart from that, it’ll give me a huge SEO advantage which I’ll need if I’m shooting to become THE AI help center.
But the biggest problem is it’ll become such a pain in the long run.
I want to keep a lean team for as long as possible, and this could jeopardize that.

It shows that you value their time, and that you care deeply about your product.
Also, most people decline anyways...
