They replaced it with a rock causeway, but the old trestle still haunts the lake half sunk, half preserved

Across the Great Salt Lake, engineers built a railroad that seemed to float. A wooden trestle 12 miles long, stretching across a sea of salt and mirage. They called it the Lucin Cutoff. Built by hand in 1904, over 30 million board-feet of timber driven into the brine.

@BradEBonham Wrong. It's awful. People should never come here. Brad is a liar. And so is the other guy. Stay away, it's terrible. Go away.

@WasatchSnow Oooh, good one. I get upgraded a lot because of my status. For someone that travels a lot, it's worth it. If I didn't have status and knew I would travel a lot, $100K is worth it. But with status, I get upgraded enough that it's not worth that much.

In the DNA of a few First Peoples of North America, researchers found something strange. A signal called Haplogroup X. A maternal lineage almost absent in Asia, but faintly present in Europe and the Near East. How could a genetic branch skip Siberia and appear on both sides of the Atlantic?

Every time I see the crazy gesticulation; the unflinching, dead-stare eyes; the total, unblemished confidence; and the irrational, unreflective arguments supported by little more than facial expression, I can only wish I had more intimate knowledge of DSM-5.

I get where @imbrettcooper is coming from, but how can you look at Fuentes’ statements and call him anything other than a Nazi? He praises Hitler, denies the Holocaust, calls for the murder of “perfidious Jews.” I don’t want violence against him or anyone, but a spade’s a spade.

It's going to be interesting to see how AJ Dybantsa is treated by officials this season; I thought that last hoop should have been and and-1, but no.

Today’s whip. 2019 Porsche 911 GT2RS. Rear wheel drive, 700 hp, 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph (although I’ve personally witnessed them at 220+). The reason for owning this particular model is the extremely low production numbers. Less than 1,000 total examples were slated for production worldwide and most stickered around $300k. Today, they trade hands for nearly double that. 2018 saw the majority of these cars produced, making my 2019 even more rare. If you catch me driving it around, @SupercarRon will send you a $20 dollar gift card to Houston Hot Chicken. 😉

Maybe I should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing his unhinged 60 Minutes interview. It will use the exact same language Trump lodged against Vice President Harris.

This is an interesting article on the rise of political violence in America. This is interesting: “Most partisans hold major misbeliefs about the other party's preferences that lead them to think there is far less shared policy belief. This perception gap is highest among progressive activists, followed closely by extreme conservatives.” pbs.org/newshour/polit…

This makes a fun point I hadn't considered before: One of the most amusing parts of this week's tariff case at the SCOTUS will be watching the three liberal justices discover the value of the "major questions" and "non-delegation" doctrines
