Very pathetic of @mybmc 🚧🚧 Recently concretised road, broken and dug up again, this time in Khar West, Mumbai to lay cables by @Adani_Elec_Mum. To top it off, they are using loud and heavy machinery at night.

Eksar Road Concrete Works: (Chandavarkar Road to Yogi Nagar Road) Dear @mybmcInfra What we see on Eksar Road is not development — it’s an example of technical non-compliance, poor supervision, and public money being taken for a ride. Key technical lapses observed on site: 🔹 No groove cutting or proper curing carried out on newly laid PQC, compromising long-term durability. 🔹 Where groove cutting is done, joint sealing is completely missing, defeating the very purpose of expansion joints. 🔹 Dowel bars are misaligned, which will lead to slab locking, cracking, and premature failure. 🔹 No tie bars provided in PQC, raising serious concerns about load transfer and slab integrity. 🔹 Utility duct encasement executed improperly — no centring work carried out, yet the contractor gets full benefit as if proper centring was done. 🔹 Pipe joints not filled with cement mortar, allowing ingress of water and future subsidence. 🔹 Trenches left unrefilled for long periods, despite the contractor already having received payments. 🔹 No barricading on the entire stretch, endangering pedestrians and vehicles alike. 🔹 No traffic warden deployed on this heavily traffic-jammed road, causing daily chaos and increasing accident risk. ⚠️ This is not a cosmetic issue — it is structural negligence. Such defects directly reduce road life, increase future maintenance costs, and expose citizens to avoidable danger. Public roads are not private experiments. An eight-year-old boy died after falling into a water-filled construction pit in Malad East on Thursday evening. The incident took place at Chagan Patel Chawl in Ambewadi, Kurar Village. According to civic officials, the child — identified as Divyansh Rajesh Mourya — had ventured near the site around 8 pm to retrieve a ball when he accidentally slipped into the pit, which had been excavated by a private contractor. Local police personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the boy, who was then taken to the civic run BDBA Hospital in Kandivali. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Civic officials from Kurar Village police station said the pit was filled with water, which may have contributed to the fatality. Further inquiry is underway.

Tainted contractors should not be allowed to participate. Those named in 2016 Road Scam FIR are scamsters they looted public money and gave potholes instead of good Roads.

BMC has announced a 24-hour water supply disruption in parts of Goregaon due to pipeline connection work scheduled between March 10 and March 11. The civic body has urged residents in the affected areas to store adequate water in advance and use it sparingly during the shutdown period.
