#WATCH | RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder incident | Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says, "I have sympathy and solidarity with the doctors. For a couple of years at least, I have been speaking in parliament about the issue of violence against doctors. I got into a bit of a debate with the then Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. I had argued that the government should bring in a bill to specifically protect medical professionals in the course of their duties. The government gave me a very odd reply that if they start doing it for one profession, they'd have to do it for others. It is a ridiculous argument...I am shocked and saddened that despite all these efforts to raise public consciousness and the government's consciousness about this, one more doctor has had to lose her life..."

@IndiGo6E Very unreliable airline. Booked flight from two way flight from delhi to bengaluru and back to delhi 10 days back, cancelled both the flights with no prior update/ refund and reschedule option, that too just 1 day before when prices are at peak. Very disppointing!!!

Instagram has ruined travel for me. None of the places I visit look as good as they do on Instagram. People filter the shit out of their photos, masking their flaws and inadvertently the flaws of the places they photograph. As a result, when I actually visit these locations, I end up disappointed. This always happens to me. I once traveled to Chichen Itza in Mexico with high expectations based on Instagram pictures, but it was a letdown. The site was barren, filled with lizards, and the structures themselves were blah. Same experience occurred in several places in Kashmir. They didn't move me as I expected; standing in such beautifully scenic and serene locations should have stirred something within me. I'm not blaming the places themselves; I'm sure I would have loved them if my perception hadn't been clouded by Instagram filters. The sad reality is that real life can't compete with the filters and the 4k resolution of modern mobile cameras. It's like how we constantly look at our phones while talking to people because no person can ever be as entertaining as the internet. We no longer accept flaws—whether in people or places. We are exposed to the best versions of everything, which spoils the real versions for us. I think we have to accept this now and remove a few places from our travel bucket lists. Now, I try to travel to locations with zero Instagram or social media exposure to truly be wowed. It's sad, but I'm scared of being disappointed by places like the Northern Lights, Ladakh, or other heavily photographed locations on Instagram.

It’s International HPV Awareness Day. Despite the evidence linking HPV to cervical, vaginal, vulvar, penile and throat cancer, there remain many common myths about HPV. Today is a day to remind us all to help spread the facts! Screening and vaccination programmes are crucial to ending the virus and stamping out these preventable cancers. Let’s help the world have #OneLessWorry
