Yoweri Museveni made specific reference to the Somali community in Uganda has said, When we went to Somalia, the Somali community in Uganda called us “kafir.”(disbeliever) He responded by saying, “Yes, we are kafir, but this is our land. If you do not want to live in this Christian land, then go to Pakistan. This is our land, and if you bring trouble, we will deal with you. If you are looking for an Islamic country, go to Islamic country.

Someone has filed an election petition seeking to nullify Norbert Mao's election as MP for Laroo-Pece Division in Gulu City. The petitioner wants to void the election of the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, the man who supervises the Judiciary.
He expects the Judiciary to declare their own boss fraudulently elected. That level of optimism is phenomenal.

@AriFleischer You won't go around the world illegally attacking sovereign nations b'se you are sure some European giants are yes men to your atrocities..BTW,NATO WAS FORMED AS A DEFENCE COALITION NOT AN ATTACKING BULL DOG!!
English

When this is over, the western part of NATO will never be the same. Spain, England, France and Italy have sold us out, as they too often have a history of doing. Eastern European nations are the heart of NATO. They spend money on defense, know how to fight and love the US.
France particularly deserves fault and blame. From supporting China and Russia at the UN to denying Americans overflight rights, they’re doing what they’ve always done - showing weakness, while cutting deals with terrorists. (The reason the US has a Marine Corps and Navy is unlike France, we refused to pay a ransom to the Barbary Pirates. France is always happy to cut a deal.)
Wars have unintended consequences as nations show their true colors.
NATO will never be the same, and Western European weakness and acquiescence is the cause.

What we know about the suspect in the killings at Ggaba Early Childhood Day Care in Kampala:
👉The suspect is Christopher Okello Onyumu.
👉He had just returned from the United States, where he had lived for about 20 years.
👉He returned to Uganda in November 2025 and initially lived in Bunga, Kampala, at his parents’ home.
👉Christopher later relocated to his ancestral home in Nyoya to take up farming, before returning to Kampala a few days ago.
👉According to police, he had earlier been taken to the U.S. by his parents to live with his siblings.
👉He later expressed interest in returning to Uganda to do farming.
👉Before his parents could formally allow it, he reportedly sneaked back into the country without their knowledge and briefly stayed in an apartment in Bunga, allegedly funded by an embassy.
👉After some time, he visited his parents, who were shocked to see him back in Uganda.
👉He informed them of his plan to relocate to Nyoya for farming, and the following day, they drove him there, gave him land, and he began farming.
👉After some time in Nyoya, Christopher returned to Kampala and rented an apartment in Kyanja about two weeks ago.
His move to the child centre:
👉He visited the daycare on Tuesday, inquiring about admission for a child.
👉On Thursday, he paid Shs180,000 via mobile money and also bought two large padlocks.
👉He later returned to the school pretending to complete the admission process, but instead carried out the attack.
👉He stabbed four children to death and is currently in police custody.
👉It has also been alleged that Christopher was involved in the killing of his stepbrother in 2017 under similar circumstances, though no arrest was made at the time.
👉Investigations are still ongoing.

This is not a case against @SpireJim. It’s a case against the people he speaks for, against our right to voice our grievances and concerns. I love this solidarity 🥹 as some are taking on the impunity of the giraffe online, others are sharing evidence and others offering legal skills🙏

Observation: Over 54% of Uganda’s artists depend on live performances as their primary source of income. For years, Uganda led the East African region in hosting frequent, multi artist events especially during peak seasons like Easter and Christmas. Back then a single artist could perform at up to seven shows in one day, driven by high demand and a vibrant events ecosystem.
But this Easter weekend tells a different story.
There are noticeably fewer concerts and large scale events happening across the country. This isn’t just a seasonal dip it raises a bigger question about the health of Uganda’s live music economy.
If live shows have been the backbone of ug artists earnings, what does this decline mean for the music industry, URA, Tourism, Beverage companies(Beer and soda), media and other beneficiaries from these live events. What really happened? where do we go from here?
