This FT piece by UBS is pure wealth management marketing nonsense. Calling Fama-French factor models "outdated" misses their fundamental purpose. Factor investing was never designed to explain every stock movement, but rather to identify broad, persistent drivers of expected risk and return. The article’s "52% unexplained" residual does not prove that "innovation" is a superior framework; that remaining percentage largely consists of idiosyncratic noise, shifting expectations, and firm-specific outcomes. The microwave just went out in one of our rentals.
Our property manager said it’s going to cost $468 for a comparable black Whirlpool microwave, installation, haul-off of the existing unit, and a 1-year warranty.

When we compare ex-US developed performance, Dimensional/Avantis is better than Vanguard (absolute and risk adjusted) even before taxes. And they have lower dividends & better QDI, so taxes bite less.
