@MLSGoneWild Makes sense because we truly have a low bar for CB options, and Freeman is a quality RB that has shown to be possibly the best RCB option as well. Fits well in this flex system Poch wants to run. But we are definitely weak defensively on that side but i agree it's the best option

I’ve seen all I’ve needed to see out of the Dest/Freeman pairing. Thats our starting right side. Their roles are clearly instrumental to this teams attacking identity and success #USMNT

@TaylorTwellman Why does Ream have to step sooner? Your job as CB is to not get beat and to slow the play down, no threats that far out. Poor tracking on Mane run is why they scored, not Ream’s fault Jedi had poor turnover. Don’t think he could have done anything different.

You aren't going to win big games if you are as loose in possession as we are, turning the ball over, with a definitive below average defense and GK behind it. Not at this level. I saw a lot of good, not dominance

@KD954 @PhillyPMC We were utterly dominant. Higher xG, shots, sot, touched in opposition box. Possession means little if you don’t attack.

@SpangledBallers I had him as the last guy in. Gritty on the pitch and a solid set piece taker for late game situations. But yea he looked outclassed, outsized and overmatched athletically against Senegal. Definitely a situational sub but nothing more. Rather him than Roldan for sure.

As a self professed “Eurosnob,” I really don’t hate Seb Berhalter in this squad. He brings fire and energy, and he’s a nice compliment to Tyler Adams so far. I know, I know, “MLS” …. But he’s not the worst we can throw out there. 🇺🇸

Thought Mckenzie was worse than Ream today 😂, but both clearly options over Miles. Mckenzie was shaky on the ball, shaky passer and lacks the communication to be the man in the middle. Ream more composed, also had errors tho and is definitely scared of getting burned. I'm more intrigued at playing Trusty after today, and more willing to try him in the middle if that aids getting him on the field.

@KD954 @PhillyPMC I mean what better teams that whole Senegal line up plays for big clubs, and they’re higher ranked than any team we’re gonna see in the group stage. We’re gonna be trying to out score teams and give up counters that’s just the way it’s gotta be, or we won’t score at all.

@collinsanity @PhillyPMC Lack of possession also led to bad turnovers which were direct culprits of both goals. Senegal wasn't great in the back, better teams will negate stuff we were doing up front. We've got to possess the ball better if for nothing else to take pressure off our poorer defense/GK

@KD954 @PhillyPMC We’re not built to possess. We’re built to be aggressive w overlaps and get the ball into the box. And we did that willingly. We had far more looks in the box and statistically that shows.
