As a therapist myself I've had a lot of feelings about Bucky's therapist on TFatWS, and have decided I need to rant a little to let it all out. I've worked w/active duty, trauma survivors, and court ordered clients, so here's some therapeutic conjecture on Bucky's therapy:

@it_unprofession Some tips! 1.2- 1.5mph at most, focus on mouse heavy work with limited typing, use voice dictation for typing when you can, make sure keyboard and mouse are elevated with wrist support.

The treadmill desk seemed like a visionary idea in January. I calculated I could walk four miles a day while reviewing PRs. I would become a lean, hyper-productive tech athlete. It arrived in two massive boxes that weighed 150 pounds each. I spent five hours assembling it and sweating through my shirt. The first time I used it, I tried to type an email at 2.5 miles per hour. It looked like it was written by a hostage in a moving vehicle. I quickly realized that walking and thinking are mutually exclusive activities for me. Now it serves exclusively as an $1,800 mechanical shelf for my coffee mugs. Sometimes I turn the belt on just to let my cat ride it like a very slow amusement park attraction. At least someone is getting their steps in.

Had a patient at the clinic i worked at who’s wife had a total hysterectomy and was undergoing treatment for cancer. Patient asked the physician I worked for to write her a note that he needed to have sex for prostste health reasons and she needed to comply. Doc said “Yeah, I’m not doing that, your wife is battling cancer, sex should be the least of your worries” btw The doc I worked for was a woman..!!

@ChinaNipona I don't think other people use the term best friend the way I use the term best friend. My best friend with two children would absolutely never say this to me as a childfree woman, and I would absolutely never say that shit about her life.

Tengo 37 años, gano bien, viajo 4 veces al año y mi casa siempre está impecable y en silencio. Ayer mi mejor amiga, que tiene 2 hijos y vive estresada, me dijo que mi vida 'no tiene propósito' porque no he formado una familia. Honestamente, veo su vida (pañales, gritos, no dormir, cero ahorros) y me parece una pesadilla. Le respondí que mi propósito es disfrutar mi dinero y mi paz, no ser una mártir de la maternidad. Se ofendió muchísimo. ¿Tan difícil es aceptar que algunos elegimos NO arruinar nuestra vida?

@patricksantry It's kind of hilarious that that exact phrase about time is almost the entire theme of season two.

@MadeOfAwsm Oh I tried, I think it took three watches on the first episode to get through it, and then second episode I've started it twice now, if the first two are this bad, I can't see wasting any more time. Time is the one resource that's limited, it doesn't wait, it can't.

I’ve been trying to get through #Paradise season 2 but get bored quick. I just tried two times to finish episode 2 and there’s nothing drawing me in. I think I’m done with this series.

@CrazyVibes_1 It's your first day, you wash dishes until you can do other things. That's not that shocking amount- roll up your sleeves and get in there instead of posting about it and it will go faster.

Just started a job at Chipotle and today was my first real shift. They sent me to the back to wash dishes and I walked in to a mountain of them piled up. I’m talking sinks full, racks full, everything. I literally said ‘there’s no way you expect one person to wash all of this.’ Manager basically told me if I didn’t finish them all I’d be sent home and probably fired. I didn’t sign up to be the entire dish crew by myself. I get doing your part, but dumping an entire shift’s worth of dishes on someone who just started feels completely crqzy. I honestly don’t understand how places think this is okay.”

@119off61 Minding your own business is so necessary in this country.

This lady next to me has spent 39 minutes on fckin treadmill 😭. Fitness education is so necessary in this country

My first Broadway flea experience! Very fun, tiring lol. This whole lot (7 shirts, 2 sweat shirts, 1 long sleeve, hat, mug, book, tote bag, pins, scrunchies, magnets, toothbrush, keychain all for $10) plus cups and pin for $17 total!!

This is what I think falls flat- I absolutely call out my clients who are bullshitting when it's clinically appropriate to do so, but I can only do that once we've built a solid therapeutic relationship that has a foundation strong enough to support those challenges.

@jdracoules @SuperPRGuy Abbott made me especially sad since they had swag created for the offsite, they definitely could've added some for the panel attendees.

@SuperPRGuy Went to 3 panels (Abbott Elementary, Rookie, and Paradise) and none had giveaways.

Bad take from an obviously limited perspective. More promo $$$ spent on SDCC 2025 than any year in the past decade, including huge ad buys (even by studios w/out a Hall H panel), nearly 20% more panel giveaways, several elevator wraps, room key buyouts, activations & parties.

#SDCCLineUpdates anyone know how the line for Alien Code Red offsite is? Really want to do it, especially once the sun goes down!

@SDCCLineUpdates Pretty much walked in for Ghosts, got in line at like 310 and just had to wait with the group for them to block off the hallway, then got in around 323 for Ghosts at 330.
