⛰️ Here is what happened today at Lasan - Langka Area At approximately 8:00 AM on 13 June 2026, a heavy exchange of fire took place in the fringes of the Lasan hill ranges between NSCN-IM, ZUF-K, and Meitei militants, including members of Arambai Tenggol who had gone to provide drone surveillance and drone-related assistance, on one side, and Kuki-Zo Village Volunteers on the other. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Lasan, the same area where an earlier incident claimed the life of Mr. Haogin Lhouvum, a farmer from Lasan. At approximately 8:40 AM, one Kuki-Zo Village Volunteer, Mr. Jangngam Hangshing, was killed in the exchange of fire. This incident forms part of a recurring pattern of violence against Kukis in districts where they constitute a minority. The ethnic cleansing of Kukis from Imphal has already been completed, and there are growing concerns that a similar campaign is now underway in districts such as Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Senapati, and Kamjong. let me share my personal experience of bnei in our community Three main important points i like to stress. Before Christianity our religion was based on animism, which included the worship and appeasement of ancestral spirits. In one of the rituals , we pray to our ancestors name “Manaseh” for prosperity and offering ritual was made to thank for his providence and this is the main factor the Bnei manaseh started their theory of connecting as one of the lost tribes of Israel . Secondly while most of us are converted to Christianity in 18 and 19 centuries they continue to practice our ancient rituals and beliefs and connect themselves with jews teachings and traditions in late 70s and early 80s Thirdly they don’t intermarry with us and don’t eat pork even in their marriage and other ceremonies. During my childhood i personally used to ridicule my friend who is now a pilot in IDF . What i see about this Bnei people they are comparatively more economically well off and more educated then the rest us . And lastly i myself don’t believe in their theory but their migration will badly affect us because we have very low population in Manipur ethnic hatred of political representation.

In a direct retaliatory response aimed at securing their release, the Kukis detained 21 Tangkhul individuals. ■​The Turning Point: Execution of Hostages. Who spilled the first blood? The first blood was spilled on March 11 when the Tangkhul led NSCN-IM Terrorists brutally tortured & executed the two Kuki hostages. ■​The Contrast in Captivity: Acting on assurances of safety from Tangkhul CSOs & the Manipur Govt, the Kukis demonstrated a profound commitment to humanity & restraint, actively choosing de-escalation promptly released all 21 captives in the pursuit of Peace. ■The following day, however, the mutilated, disfigured & lifeless bodies of the two Kuki hostages were discovered. 🚨​The Aftermath: Divergent Responses to the tragedy: The Kuki Response: Kuki CSOs immediately issued widespread condolences, condemned the killing of 6 Manipur Nagas & demanded a fair, impartial investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice. ​The Tangkhul Response: Conversely, Tangkhul CSOs, including the TKL & UNC stormed the CM's office following the Manipur Govt's decision to hand over the kidnapping & murder case of the two kukis to the NIA. The Tangkhul CSOs expressed "strong reservation over the NIA handover" & demanded the immediate withdrawal of the NIA investigation into the barbaric killings. ■To make matters even more repulsive, even before the Mutilated corpses of the victims could be recovered & their families given the most basic dignity of grief & a moment to mourn, the Tangkhul CSO Khanuithot Khon issued a Chilling "Quit Notice" to the bereaved families, warning them that they would suffer the same brutal fate as their murdered husbands & fathers if they do not comply. ■March 20, 2026: In the official directive to NIA, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Counter Terrorism & Counter Radicalization Division) explicitly said, "the Central Government is of the Opinion that NSCN-IM, a TERRORIST Gang" perpetrated the attack to deliberately "Strike Terror & panic in the minds of people." The MHA issued an order declaring the incident a "scheduled offence" with "national ramifications" & mandated the NIA to assume full control of the investigation to uncover the broader conspiracy. This shifts the case of kidnapping and murder of Thengin & Thangboimang from a local law-and-order into the realm of national security & terrorism. ■March 17, 2026: SP Ukhrul (Babitarani Swain, IPS) sends a progress report to the DGP of Manipur. Letminlun Haokip and Lunminthang Haokip were not armed volunteers . They were servants of God and their community. This man is a former IPS officer and former DGP of Manipur, yet he is referring to Kukis as “nomads,” despite the fact that Manipur’s previous DGP, P. Doungel, was himself a Kuki IPS officer who served with distinction before taking voluntary retirement in 2023. When those who have held the highest offices indulge in such rhetoric, it only deepens divisions and fuels hatred from the top down. This hostility is not going to solve anything in Manipur. Every community has contributed to the nation in its own way. 🕯️ What happened at Kultuh Village, Kamjong today In the early hours, at around 4:30 a.m., approximately 80 heavily armed militants crossed from Myanmar into India and attacked Kultuh (also known as Kultuk) village in Kamjong District, Manipur.The militants, identified as members of NSCN Eastern Flank, and Shanni Nationalities Army (SNA), entered the village before dawn. They burned 7 houses and killed two Kuki civilians:• 1) Letminlun Haokip – Head Deacon, Kuki Baptist Church, Kultuh 2) Lunminthang Haokip – Youth Leader, Kuki Baptist Church, Kultuh. Kultuh is an old historic Kuki village in the Chassad/Kamjong region. Decades of conflict and cross-border attacks have reduced it to just a few households, but it remains part of the traditional Kuki homeland. This attack is part of a recurring pattern of violence against vulnerable Kuki villages in the district. The militants came from across the Myanmar border. This incident raises serious questions on border security: How did such a large group cross into Indian territory, attack a village, and withdraw without being stopped? The mortal remains of the 6 Naga hostages have been found. Here is my assessment: UNC knew about this, may be even the Baptist World Alliance, CBCNEI, CM Conrad, and CM Rio knew about it. Now this explains why all these individuals and organisations rushed to put pressure on Nagas to release the 14 Kuki detainees. If the 14 Kukis were not released yesterday, the mortal remains of these 6 Nagas would still be kept hidden, and Kuki Inpi would still say they know nothing about it. UNC has probably withheld this information from the Naga public. In short, UNC is complicit of not being transparent to the Naga public. What should be done next? 1. UNC must exert pressure on the government to arrest all those involved in this killing and ensure they are sentenced to life imprisonment. 2. Kuki Inpi Manipur should publicly apologize for claiming that it knew nothing about the six abductees. While in fact, their militants literally massacred them. 3. UNC must deliver justice, or RESIGN. Anything less than this would be a mockery of our people and our rights. As a responsible Naga, I refuse to be party to it. My conscience cannot accept such an insult.
