MailerLite took their free plan from 1k emails to 500. Meanwhile I cleared 1k a bit ago and have simply not been taking new subscriptions. I cannot live like this.

I’m not impressed with @kit changing it’s pricing plan. $39/month seems extremely high for the level of usage and offering.

@SenderNet Actually I realised somebody signed up for my course, I added them to the group via API on my landing page, and somehow the trigger of 'added to group' did not sent out the email... They have an xyz-abc@icloud.com domain...

I created an automation which should trigger when a subscriber is added to a group, but for some reason it's not sending any mails... @SenderNet Test emails work, but the automation doesn't seem to work... any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Newsletter tools are a mess. Last week MailerLite announced that they're reducing the limit on their free tier. Now I either have to move somewhere else, or pay them $30/month. (God knows why tf these tools are expensive af). So, I look at good tools with better free tiers. I find 3 options: 1. Kit 2. Sender 3. Beehiiv I sign up for @kit, which promises 10K subscribers on the free plan. I import my 1.3K subs and they instantly tell me I need to upgrade my plan. So I go to Sender. Initially this looks a lot better, then I actually try to go through the onboarding, and instead of verifying my sending domain with DNS, they f*cking send an email verification??? Tf is that? Then finally, @beehiiv is the final option, but their free plan doesn't offer automations, making it pretty much useless since I only use these tools for automations. What a f*cked up industry is this. Nothing but lies and overpriced tools. Please tell me there's an open-source option that doesn't suck? I just tested out @Ghost and it appear to be exactly what I want, but it lacks automation support... Anyone know a tool that is not from 2010 that I can self host and send unlimited automated email sequences with?

Mailjet just removed one of the reasons I use it over MailerLite: 1500 free contacts vs 1000. But they are lowering the free limit to 1000. I'm nowhere near the limit, but will compare plans in detail because the UX is clunky and a PITA. (Mailchimp is not adult-friendly.)

I just switched to Mailerlite from MailChimp to save money, and now they're changing their plans, lol. All of these services are so pricey. I'm thinking of using the newsletter features of Wix, where I host my author site. I don't need much. Anyone have other suggestions? #WritingCommunity

My monthly newsletter should be hitting inboxes now. It was scheduled for yesterday but in addition to notifying me that I now have to pay a subscription fee, the newsletter didn't go out as scheduled. Mailerlite isn't giving me any confidence in their platform. Anyway, you can still subscribe while I look for a new newsletter platform. Your info will be transferred.

Hey #WritingCommunity do you have any recommendations for a free newsletter service? I currently use MailerLite but they're changing their free plan to a 500 subscriber limit instead of 1000. This is definitely going to affect the #PitchDis newsletter so I need another option 😕
