@aarnavg17 You know we’re in Hong Kong when these are the public transportation issues being discussed 😅. In Melbourne your greatest concern is either a) the train/bus not even running, and if it is b) making sure you don’t get attacked or yelled at whilst onboard!

Probably the only example of bad design MTR has, outside their app, is this. From certain angles, the time for the 4th train looks like the time for the next train.

@Tweeteringonthe Just finished run along SYP/Central portion of boardwalk. ICC and IFC being shrouded in cloud cover is a sight to behold.

Forget about the Shenzhen spring! With 29 degrees Celsius right now it feels like summer has already started. No more afternoon walks in the park 😅🥵🌞.

@TheGrouchHK @StupendousNatur I think the Futian CBD area is genuinely one of the nicest corporate/shopping centre locations I’ve seen. Heaps of shop selection, clean, efficient and also has some lovely streets with greenery.

News flash, that bottle of coke in SZ is also made by Swire. They also make coke for Taiwan and a bunch of places in SE Asia, one of the most important bottlers for Coke worldwide And no EV lmao
Caillan@chinafutureclub

Hong Kong prices are insane. Most expensive city in China. I bought a coke, it’s made/imported by Swire group, a British company.. so it costs $2. Yet if I go 15 minutes away to Shenzhen: it’s $0.3! Almost no EV in HK. Taxi prices are like Australia, infrastructure is old.

@Normdeplumeee @franklinchasing @Slymcflys2023 @Top100Rick It’s a great course - good value and easy to get on. However after playing all the other courses on the MP I don’t think it’s maintained to as high a standard. In saying that, playing any of those courses on a Sat/Sun afternoon is a lovely weekend

Guys, this is what $85 USD can get you in Australia. Weekend rate. Is there a better value golf course on the entire planet? St. Andrews Beach may be the actual best deal on literal earth. I cannot think of a better one. I’m stumped. Plus Kangaroos.

@FundamentEdge Completely agree. First it was vba skills then it was python and now juniors need to be AI native. Know all the tools. Be a super ai user. That’s the new hiring bar and everyone wants to do 10x more

Thomas from Coatue articulating Jevon's Paradox for investors. For this exact reason, I think it's unlikely the total seat count of public equity investors declines over the next three years Investing is a competitive game, one of the most competitive in the world. The response from funds won't be to do the same thing they do today but do it with AI. Do it more efficiently, and chill. It will be to find new ways to do deeper and more thorough investment research with these tools. Same hours, same intensity, more insights. That's actually great news for a junior investment professional who can have more impact early in his or her career. If it's not already today, AI native fluency will be a key differentiator in the hiring process for institutional asset managers very soon.

"Not a single one of the companies we're involved with is saying they want to cut engineering staff in half." @coatue_thomas and @MollySOShea at @upfrontvc summit on why AI productivity drives market expansion, not displacement.

@caswilliamson @allieswalking Agreed. I wholeheartedly disagree with the notion you cannot survive without Cantonese or English. That’s just objectively false and I don’t understand how anyone can say otherwise (as someone learning Mandarin).

@allieswalking As an expat who has lived in China for 12 years and never studied Mandarin: I think the English level in HK is pretty good.
Chris Williamson@caswilliamson
