@thomascortese_ @paularambles I agree you should take chances but they have to be way more calculated now. Ability for new devs to level up is huge.
If you haven’t been promoted in 4 years you are fucked

@paularambles @theo My point: give the little guy a chance.
You’ll get more value out ofgiving the person a chance who has something to prove opposed to a credentialed “elite” engineer that will ditch your company in 6 months to start a AI Agents for X company.

Fun fact: LLMs have zero idea how they are configured.
They don't know what GPUs they're running on. They don't know what temperature or reasoning level they have set. They don't know if they've been quantized or not.
They're just doing next-token prediction. As always.
