Why bother with a Zonai Light when brightbloom seeds are always better, for instance? They exist to be cool and no other reason

Yeah, who could forget the story application of the Beetle in SkSw? Or the Hover Boots in OoT? Or the Deku Leaf in WW? Or Magnesis, Cryonis, Stasis, and Remote Bombs in BotW? Surely all gameplay abilities must exclusively be for the sake of the story, right?!

@SethDavisHoops It’s a game of inches. If his pass is a few inches to the left or right, it probably gets through and everyone is saying what a great play it was to avoid all the fouls and end the game right there.

@JJSullinger I love everyone saying the team would be different and could lose a ton, when I think it’s more likely that program retains its players and gets some NIL for better players who want a guaranteed spot in the tourney. Bad teams already make the tourney every year, what’s one more?

@JJSullinger I have had this exact thought and it doesn’t matter that the roster changes year to year. It would encourage some of those kids to come back, knowing they’d be in the tourney, which would create some continuity for that team. In all likelihood, they could also get new talent

Favorites went 16-0 yesterday. This year's first round had 13 of 32 games decided by 20+ points. High Point only true mid-major still alive, and its NIL is probably most of any team in 1-bid league. I hate to admit it, but due to NIL & transfer portal, Cinderellas may be dead.

@BarryCuse In game adjustments. Against Merrimack, the other team made multiple runs while Siena struggled to score. Adjustments were made and then Siena would go on a run, eventually winning the game. This tells me he understands the X’s and O’s better than Autry ever did

It’s funny to me how many Jordan fans swear putting him anywhere below 1 means you don’t know ball but everybody I’ve talked to that works or has worked in an NBA front office (pretty large sample size) says LeBron and it’s not close. I’ve heard more NBA employees put Jordan outside of their top 2 than put him 1st. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some that would, but the number is very, very low. If there was somehow a draft with ever NBA prospect ever and you said you’d take Michael Jordan over LeBron James you’d be laughed out of the room. I’ve only ever heard one other name and it was not Jordan. Michael Jordan was hands down the greatest player of his generation and will always be one of the most iconic figures in sports but there are levels to it. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug.

The Miami Ohio discourse should be very simple, they belong in the tournament. Why? The tournament exists to crown a champion, not out the best 68 Kenpom teams in. So who has the better case to deserve to compete for a championship? 33-1 Miami Ohio or 18-15 Auburn?
