@TravelBluez Govt was naked short on gold by issuing SGBs from around 3000/gm levels. To overcome such losses and even few SGBs even crossed 20,000/gm, all the burden was passed on to taxpayers. When govt incurs huge losses, it’s the regular taxpayers who have to suffer.

Absolute daylight robbery! 😡 The Govt aggressively pushed #SGBs promising tax-free maturity. Now they pull the rug out from under secondary market buyers. 12.5% LTCG with ZERO grandfathering is nothing but RETROSPECTIVE TAXATION BY STEALTH. They allowed grandfathering for equity LTCG in 2018. Why not now? Taxing the capital appreciation we earned years ago under the old rules is flat-out CHEATING the investors who trusted a sovereign guarantee. You can't just change the rules of the game after our money is locked in! 🛑💸 Where is the trust in government instruments? I am surprised there is no hue and cry about this yet!

Nowadays CC return calculations are like I booked a 50k accor room and got upgraded to a 5L room so its 1000% return This has no relation with reality.
