I went down a rabbit hole with @midjourney v8 and ended generating an entirely new film update for the first film I ever made in AI.. ECLIPTIC. I need to animate it in @capcutapp @dreamina_ai Seedance and then it’s ready! Luckily I already wrote this so it was kinda fun only focusing on the visuals for a change, I am in absolute love with how it turned out! I can’t wait to put this together for you guys to see this week. ❤️🎥 been a minute since I did something strictly sci-fi so although everyone might be burned out from it.. this story is f^cking epic and I think you’ll like it 😉

After the commercial disaster of 'Dodes'ka-den' (1970), Akira Kurosawa attempted su!c!de as he was considered "no longer bankable" by the Japanese studios. He agreed to direct 'Dersu Uzala' (1975) in 1971. The movie was entirely financed by the Soviet Union. It is considered to be an important movie in his oeuvre. Three years of filming in the Siberian Tundra left Kurosawa exhausted. The movie was a modest success. After that, without other means of support, Kurosawa was forced to do whisky commercials (for Suntory). Akira Kurosawa's salary for the commercial was $30,000, but more importantly, this venture made his two great admirers in the USA, Francis Ford Coppola & George Lucas aware of his plight. Both of them would help him to finance his next project, 'Kagemusha' (1980).

Serious question, do you genuinely enjoy staying home all day, completely alone, without seeing anyone?

At 95, I'm still smokin'! 😝 I’ve learned two things: Never waste a good cigar. Never trust anyone who says you should ‘act your age.’ 😉👍🏻

Steve’s Music Store is closing today after being an institution in the Toronto music scene for 49 years on Queen West. It’s where I bought my first guitar when I was 15 years old. I remember going in there as a kid, excited by all the musicians and instruments around me, and thinking their talented staff were simply the coolest people in the world. RIP Steve’s, and thank you.

Canada is a proud, bilingual nation. Our history and culture is shaped by the French language and the millions of Canadians who speak it every day. La Francophonie is a pillar of our national identity — one to be protected and celebrated across Canada.
