With no disrespect to vintage enthusiasts, these cars were awful. The reason they were awful is not because they got old and worn out but they were awful when new. As a Tesla owner, imagining being forced to drive even a new legacy car is as unthinkable as being sent back to 1975 and being forced to select any vehicle. They were all awful. We live in the golden age and not many even know it.

The reason there will be no ‘fuel crisis’ in the Netherlands is that every town, city, & village in the land is connected by fully-segregated cycle lanes. It’s possible for the Dutch to simply stop driving while fuel is short and prices are high. That’s real energy resilience.

@khrisreid The service doesn't require specialized skill. It's very simple. Much different from the service that we sell. Battery replacement would be a pretty commoditized offer that's a race to the bottom in pricing, which is why I got three more estimates between $300 and $500.

Battery died in my car. Called a mobile repair business. This is what they quoted me for replacement. What do you guys think?

you know what's brutal? spending 4 years learning algorithm complexity just to end up writing CRUD APIs and trying to figure out why the deployment pipeline broke. again. computer science teaches you to optimize sorting algorithms but not how to debug why your docker container works fine locally but falls apart in production.
