@Jay_Diz90210 @doxntme The underlying principle is the same but the framing itself is an essential part of the scenario. In the train scenario I wouldn’t vote blue because I expect landslide red. But I might go blue in the original cause it will be closer to 50% blue.

@doxntme Wow, you have a smooth brain huh? First rule of word problems is write the equation so it’s simple to understand. The outcomes are thus: Red =0% chance of dying, blue =NON-ZERO chance of dying. Stop blaming red voters because you’re too fucking dumb to understand the question.

@summoningsalt @tchukkelz @bungerfan_27 yeah but its a question that is extremely sensitive to the framing because how you answer depends on how you imagine other people will answer. so if the way its framed makes you think it less likely people will "press blue" then it makes you less likely to choose blue yourself

A train is coming down a track. Everyone on Earth has the choice to either tie themselves to the track, or not. If more than 50% of people choose to tie themselves to the track, the train turns around and doesn't run them over. Yes or no - do you tie yourself to the track?

@kirpy0x @leonhart_1993 @tchukkelz @summoningsalt @bungerfan_27 But a factoring in the framing and psychology of other people is part of it. I wouldn’t vote blue in the train scenario because I know how others will interpret it. But I might vote blue in the original scenario because I know the framing will lead to more blue voters.

@leonhart_1993 @tchukkelz @summoningsalt @bungerfan_27 This. I first chose blue... when I came acrossed the "dilemma" in my timeline while waiting in line at the grocery store. Thought about it the next day and felt pretty dumb. Not a dilemma at all as one option is clearly better. Just a wording trick.

@hardubua @JustIdeals @ChardySPX It’s not an attempt to kill yourself, it’s a calculated risk in hopes to save others. Stop straw-manning. You could easily argue that red voters are the ones creating risk by pushing towards red majority. Red majority is the only way deaths can even occur.

@only_speaktruth @JustIdeals @ChardySPX Pressing blue is literally an attempt to kill yourself and everyone who also presses it. Real question is - should such people really be saved? The ones who create a risk for up to 50% population where there was no risk at all? Without any gain?

@hardubua @JustIdeals @ChardySPX absolute ideal situation is everyone votes red and everybody lives and nobody ever had any risk. But that’s just not the world we live in. Blue voters are inevitable. People who understand this are totally justified in voting blue

@only_speaktruth @JustIdeals @ChardySPX It's not a logical, you know:) Let's presume I asked and they said red. Or blue. That doesn't change logic. The most rational strategy is not playing russian roulette unless you want to and ready to face the consequences. Most moral- to counter uneffective ways of thinking (blue)

@hardubua @JustIdeals @ChardySPX Guess what, you’re wrong. Not everybody has the same lens as you. Ask your kids, your wife, your parents, etc. Regular people, who have zero wish to die, will vote blue.

@only_speaktruth @JustIdeals @ChardySPX People are sentient. And selfaware. i presume that is fair vote, where participants understand what they do. In that case only the one who is okay with dying will chose blue. Should we really risk up to 50% population to save someone who wants to die?

@Ranting_Monkey @truefire87 Wrong, red has death tied to it because voting red affects the ratio, and reaching 50% red is the killing threshold for blues

@truefire87 Blue is the only one to have death specifically tied to it. If the question were written more honestly it would openly state that if everyone presses red no one dies. It's a logical question to manipulate idiots into pressing blue when that's the only way anyone dies.

Not liking the solution doesn't negate the solution. If you ask a million people what 2+2 is, some will say 5, doesn't make 5 the right answer. The only way anyone dies is if someone pushes blue. People who push blue are the only ones possibly causing death. But hey, at least they aren't selfish. Stupid? Sure. Murderous? Possibly. But not selfish.

@hardubua @JustIdeals @ChardySPX Look at the poll results dumbass there would likely be billions of blue voters. Given that billions are voting blue, is it better to reach blue majority or red majority? Which is the preferable outcome?

I want the parade for a championship, so I want to be able to do that again… it’s still things I want to try to get. I want to get 20,000 points. @BryanOnTheMic @ShitpostRock2 I didn’t even say I was a blue voter, I’ve said many times that I’d probably press red. So how is me merely understanding the blue side “virtue signaling?” Who am I even virtue signaling to? I don’t give a fuck how people perceive me on my anonymous twitter account.

@only_speaktruth @ShitpostRock2 It’s not about saving lives and that you framed it this way reveals you’re only interested in the virtue signaling optics of pressing blue, not its actual effect. This is the real test - whether you’re interested in actions, or others perceived notion of the actions.

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@PutinLikePutin @cehennem_dunya1 @ShitpostRock2 I understand that. I might expect red majority and even vote red myself. Doesn’t mean I think blue voters are drooling retards. If more people thought like blue voters did then that’d be the ideal situation. Unless literally every single person went red.

@only_speaktruth @cehennem_dunya1 @ShitpostRock2 Nah man. You see, those "60%" of votes, are mostly English speaking aka western citizens, mostly adults or at least grownups. No kids etc. There is also no danger whatsoever, so everyone can act as brave as they want to, while in reality some would freak out and press red.

@_MortalMonkey @Antikristos666 @lporiginalg If you somehow knew beforehand every single person who would vote blue, blue wasn’t a majority, and they let you just not count their votes so they could live, then yeah duh? Could also do that with every red voter.

@_MortalMonkey @Antikristos666 @lporiginalg 1. For one reason or another, people WILL vote blue. Whether it’s children, visually impaired, didn’t understand the options, etc. 2. To ensure none of those people die, blue majority is required. Thus incentivizing more people vote blue. Which part don’t you understand?

@only_speaktruth @Antikristos666 @lporiginalg I just don't get how voting blue isn't an objectively stupid decision. "Other people will vote blue, so I need to save them" Why are they voting blue? To save you? So it's just literally a death cult. You're throwing yourself into danger and hoping society will save you.

@Real_Shrigma @ShitpostRock2 “There is NO reward for voting blue!” “Oh except maybe saving billions of people.” It might seem circular - blue voters all trying to save other blue voters, but thats just the result of a blind vote. You cant assume everyone is just going team red, especially given the framing
