@DrewPavlou Data sovereignty legislation and regulation means that both the government and most private sector companies will need to store and process data in Australia. This is happening around the world

@seraphya @TheJusticeDept @ADL Negative. The video I posted literally has Jonathan Greenblatt stating he has ADL people (paid by the ADL), infiltrating anti-Israel and Pro-Palestine groups. It’s exactly the same. Only an investigation would reveal how they were used but FBI won’t do it.

🚨HAPPENING NOW: Justice Department announces indictment against Southern Poverty Law Center ("SPLC"). Our indictment alleges SPLC secretly funneled MORE THAN $3 MILLION in funds to members of white supremacist and extremist groups.

@MikeCaseEye @TheJusticeDept Nah, they were trying to conduct a private espionage operation but looks like they didn't dot their i's and cross their t's in terms of staying in legal bounds which you have to be very careful of if you don't have government legal authority

@HarlemJ11 @TheJusticeDept You really think so? Some of the allegations seem to actually be crossing the line of what you can do as a private citizen without government powers

@GenXGirl1994 @TheJusticeDept @ADL The ADL does have history of espionage. Against fascist John birch society it did it correctly. Later thier work with information leaked from police in California was problematic. But what the SPLC did here crosses legal lines that ADL never did

There have been rumors for months that IDF soldiers who control access to Gaza were in league with smugglers while blocking legitimate humanitarian shipments. And Israeli media now confirm:

@seraphya @DrNeilStone No, I realise that but there's a whole lot of new work around energy which may or may not prove to be relevant wrt homeopathy. It's this area where I think people like Neil aren't up to speed.

Homeopathy - and I mean actual homeopathy - is one of the dumbest most ridiculous absurd scams out there. It's less believable than the existence of the tooth fairy or leprechauns.

@DrNeilStone Dr., Could you dumb down why the smallpox vaccine, made from vaccinia, not the smallpox virus, isn't "the law of similars", i.e., homeopathy? It came up and I don't understand it well enough to explain why/how is not.

This photo is real, not AI-generated or fabricated, as some have claimed. It comes from a reliable source that has been documenting Israeli army crimes for over three years. This is not an isolated incident. We have multiple photos and videos showing Israeli soldiers desecrating Christian statues in Lebanon.

@Vokabre @aziz0nomics Sometimes yes and sometimes no. But the other side to that would be that if one ounce of gold was a lot more difficult to mine than another piece of gold that they should have different values

@seraphya @aziz0nomics Gold would be harder to find and extract if the effort is summed up. I think the better counterargument is not the resources, but produces of arts and crafts. Back then in 19th century few thought of that part of the economy. John Ruskin had a book on the topic.

Been thinking about economics, and the labour theory of value. Labour is neither necessary nor sufficient for value. There are valuable things that were created with no labour, e.g. gold and oil in the ground. And you can shovel mud for hours & create no value.

@Vokabre @aziz0nomics It still wouldn't make sense that an ounce of gold and an ounce of lead would have the same value of they took the same effort to sog out and refine

@aziz0nomics Well, back then in 19th century a lot of theories were being introduced in different fields. With gold and oil the argument can go that the extraction is the "value added labour", and it is scarcity with the difficulty of extraction that creates said value.

@Ha_Matar It is the same reason Iran has tried to destabalize Lebanon. They don't find it acceptable that Christians are not second class citizens on 'Waqf' land.

@Ha_Matar Why do people pretend that Iran doesn't chant death to the US and Death to Israel for theological reasons rather than economic or political reasons? Iran doesn't hate Israel because of anything Israel is or does except that they are Jews refusing to be 2nd class citizens

@A_Star_Official @mehdirhasan I also think that a state of war existed between Israel and iran before the latest operation, given that the 12 day war ended in a ceasefire not a permanent agreement of end to casualties and even more so if Iran wants hezbullah included in this round of ceasefire

Says the guy who also shamelessly claimed in the show that Israel was attacked in June 1967, a brazen, demonstrable lie. As for UNSC Resolution 487, which calls for Israel to urgently place its nuclear facilities under IAEA controls, it *is* binding under international law. That's just a fact. You're getting confused with enforcement, which is what Chapter VII refers to. I didn't say a word about Chapter VII, you just lied in this tweet by attributing that to me. I said a UNSC Security Council resolution is binding under international law. That's a fact. The enforcement part is irrelevant to my point. So, back to the issue: why won't you admit you're the only country with nuclear weapons and why won't you allow in IAEA inspectors as required by the UN Security Council?
Doron Spielman@DoronSpielman

Mehdi Hasan can’t stop lying. He just lied on air that Israel’s nuclear program is bound by UN Security Council Resolution 487 under Chapter VII, the only framework that creates binding enforcement. Resolution 487 literally does not invoke “Chapter VII”. You know which does? Resolution 1737, which requires the Islamic Republic of Iran to suspend its nuclear activities. He’s understandably upset Israel and the US stopped his Islamist friends getting nukes, but that’s no excuse to lie to me, to Piers, and most importantly to the audience. @piersmorgan, fact check your guests. Your audience deserves better. @mehdirhasan

@tobiaschneider If you're gonna call Bosnia a genocide you have to call basically every ethnic conflict a genocide, like in Syria there are still several "acts of genocide" a month just from random revenge killings if you're going by a strict definition.

@A_Star_Official @mehdirhasan For Israelis and Gazans the state of war pre October 7th wasn't great but it was a different status quo that after. It went from a war that Israel thought it could manage by blockade to prevent weapons getting to Hamas to realizing that it wasn't going to work

@A_Star_Official @mehdirhasan I would agree that is bad phrasing. They escalated it. Similar to how Russia had already invaded Ukraine in crimea and donbass but attack on kyiv was a whole new level.
