We’ve hit rock bottom here guys, unfortunately I can’t see Colmore Row ever getting back to its pristine state, not even 2 years, hundreds of thousands pounds was spent to repave and we now have THREE separate sections of paving stones replaced with tarmac. @BhamColmore

@NeilPouney @AVFCMarkM It’s money that on the most part was lost when HS2 phase 2 was cancelled - Part of that funding was extending the trams to Solihull and rapid bus service. More to HS2 than just a train line. Good to have that funding back.

@jordanbhx Police patrols would go a long way. Many crashes we have been seeing won’t care if it’s a 20 or 30 mph, a school zone, etc. Theylll be doing 50 in a 20 or 60 in a 30, then crash at a roundabout, swerving for oncoming traffic, showing off their RS3 or Merc.

My 15-year-old son hasn't left his room in three months. Not since the boys at school shoved his crochet project into a trash can and filmed it, posted it with "What kind of guy does this?" while everyone laughed. I'd find him at 2 AM, surrounded by patterns he'd saved from online, yarn everywhere, eyes red from crying. "This is all I'm good at," he'd whisper. His little shop online became his only safe place while kids his age destroyed him daily for doing something they called "girly." Then last week, he emerged from his room holding this gnome outfit. "For the baby," he said, voice barely audible. His first complete costume for his 10-month-old sister. Every single stitch perfect. The pointed red hat, that fluffy white beard, those striped legs with tiny boots. When the baby giggled and reached for his face, my son smiled. First real smile in months. "Do you think it's... stupid?" he asked, waiting for me to confirm what those boys said. Stupid? My broken boy had turned months of torture into something magical. I posted these photos in his online shop while he wasn't looking. Orders came flooding in within hours. "This is professional work!" "Does he do custom orders?" "Tell your son he's incredibly talented!" He's reading every comment now, crying. Happy tears this time. Talking about maybe going back to school. Maybe finding other kids who create things. Maybe those boys were just scared of someone different. To anyone who thinks a teenage boy hiding with yarn is wasting his life, sometimes he's saving it. One stitch at a time. Please tell him what you think. He needs to hear it from more than just his mom.

@OctopusEnergy I have a new Home Mini and it’s light is solid green. Contacted hello@ and they have told me to try another wall socket (meter is same room 2m away). They’ve now told me to contact the manufacturer of the Home Mini, which is an odd response.

The Embankment cycleway (CS3) in London was purposefully built to be wider than was usual in order to future proof it. Some said it would hardly be used. Now there’s a decent case for widening it further.
