It is beyond disgraceful that the 'Great Israeli Real Estate' event was allowed to go ahead. Once again, the government has exposed its flagrant contempt for international law as well as its shameful complicity in Israel’s illegal occupation. thenational.scot/news/26200041.…

I have lodged a written question for the Scottish Government to provide an update on plans for a full independent inquiry into rape gangs in Scotland. The public deserve answers and to know details of the authorities failures and extent to which these animals preyed on young children. There must be a rape gang inquiry in Scotland, now.

Trump has totally lost the plot. He thinks Isis going into Lebanon would be only jihadist fighting jihadist. It would be a genocide on a massive scale, the winner wouldn't stay in bloody Lebanon they'd expand. The Isis caliphate is a global goal. ISIS 2.0 is patient tiktok💣

Trump states Qatar to invest $19 trillion in the U.S…which explains everything about why Trump is insisting on losing a war. Apparently we are now the United States of Qatar? Given Trump, Witkoff Kushner, and Vance, is the White House itself compromised?

This is unhinged. His plan would mean that jihadists go into Lebanon and slaughter the Lebanese Christians.

President Trump has publicly stated that, together with President Erdogan, the United States put Ahmed al-Sharaa (Julani) in office in Syria following the fall of the Assad regime. This marks an unusually direct acknowledgement by a U.S. President of involvement in elevating a figure whose organisation, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, was long designated as a terrorist group by the United States and multiple other countries. If the current arrangement in Syria leads to renewed instability, further conflict, or broader regional problems, it will inevitably raise questions about the degree of responsibility that should be attributed to the decisions made by the leaders of the United States and Turkey.

Reporter: "Mr. President, what are the expectations for Israel? Can this deal survive if Israel and Hezbollah continue fighting in Lebanon?" Trump: "It can. And, you know, I consider that the minor war. Iran's a big one, but we have that little pinprick out there that constantly rears its head, and that's Hezbollah. And, you know, I was very responsible for Syria, and the man that's running Syria now is a person that I put there along with President Erdogan and some others. He's done an amazing job of pulling it together. He's not a Boy Scout, but he's done an amazing job of pulling it together. And he is very good with Hezbollah. He does not like them. And I'll tell you what, Israel's been fighting Hezbollah too long, and too many people are being killed. And you don't have to knock down an apartment house every time you're looking for somebody, because there are a lot of people in those apartment houses, and they're not all Hezbollah, that I can tell you. And I suggested to Israel: let Syria take care of Hezbollah because, to be honest, I think they do a better job of doing it. And I didn't like it two hours before we were signing the agreement that there was an attack in Lebanon, in Beirut. It wasn't like it was in the south. It was in Beirut. I did not like that. I let them know that. I didn't like it at all. But I think Syria - he's pulled that country together amazingly quickly. He's very capable, and he's been very good for me. He's protected everything that I've asked for; he's done. And if Israel can't do the job without killing everyone else, he'll do the job. Syria will do the job."

@afneil You would think that Andrew Neil, after years and years of reporting on politics, would actually have the brain to understand how Trump makes deals. But he hasn’t got a clue.

No, no, no, Trump is not inviting Syria back into Lebanon. Today's Syria is not the Syria that occupied Lebanon for 15 years. Trump is inviting the Islamic caliphate of Syria into Lebanon, a caliphate that for 14 centuries massacred every non-Muslim group between India and Spain. I am getting sick of President Trump's policy in the ME, and of his Qatari-bought advisors.

In @ForeignPolicy @FDD @AhmadA_Sharawi argues that Washington is contemplating the one thing that could rally Lebanese around Hezbollah and save the terrorist group: Inviting Syria back into Lebanon.

Yes, Jolani will do “better” than Israel against Hezbollah, of course he will. Animal ISIS fighters like Jolani’s won’t just kill Hezbollah fighters; they’ll behead them, cut out their hearts, and eat them, exactly like they did in Syria a few years ago. You’ll never get Israeli soldiers to fight that way, because Israel fights to secure its borders while ISIS fights to please Allah. The problem is where it ends: slave markets in Lebanon, stocked not only with Shia women but with Christian women too. This is catastrophic. Using the Sunnis against the Shia, exactly as the Shia were once used against the Sunnis, and the Christians end up paying the price.

🔴 JUST NOW - Mind-boggling. Trump states that he put Jolani in Syria and Jolani should be the one sorting Hezbollah out in Lebanon and not Israel. “The man that is running Syria now is a man that I put there” “He’s done an amazing job at pulling it together. He’s not a boy-scout” “I suggest to Israel to let Syria take care of Hezbollah because to be honest with you I think they’d do a better job at doing it”

Dear Mr @POTUS, the US should have confronted Hezbollah in Lebanon directly. Israel was constantly pressured not to go strong, the Lebanese Army was not empowered enough and the Lebanese people were left alone against Hezbollah multiple times. Sending the Jihadi forces of Syria into Lebanon would be catastrophic. It would trigger the mother of long wars that would destroy peace, hope and economic stability. The only force that would do the job is the US forces under @SecWar command, with diplomatic coordination under @secrubio, all under YOUR leadership. A majority of Lebanese would be grateful if US forces-NOT the Jihadists of Syria- are sent to Mount Lebanon and other areas to secure the population. American and Western companies would help exploring and managing Lebanese energy, instead of Jihadi-sponsored companies. America is the most welcomed foreign force in Lebanon, because it is NOT that foreign!

BREAKING: President Trump publicly rebukes Israel over its war against Hezbollah. "Israel's fighting Hezbollah too long and too many people are being killed." Trump said he opposed strikes that destroy apartment buildings filled with civilians and revealed he urged Israel to let Syria take the lead against Hezbollah instead. "If Israel can't do the job without killing everyone else, he'll do the job. Syria will do the job."

“Trump said he opposed strikes that destroy apartment buildings filled with civilians and revealed he urged Israel to let Syria take the lead against Hezbollah instead.” Colossal PR stupidity form Trump continues. What apartment buildings “filled with civilians” are being taken out in Lebanon?! That isn’t happening and hasn’t been happening either. Israel is beyond precise when it comes to Lebanon — far better than the U.S. is in urban warfare. Is he aware how the U.S. military operates? There is conflict in Lebanon because the Islamic regime is using the country to wage war against Israel, not the reverse. Hezbollah broke the ceasefire to sabotage negotiations — NOT ISRAEL. Trump knows this and is lying. What a dumb comment. He’s made a complete and total mockery of himself. Also I LOVE that his solution to “civilian casualties” is that a literal terrorist fight Hezbollah instead. Yalla Trump, go for it. Have Jolani disarm Hezbollah and get ready for a scale of civilian casualties beyond your wildest dreams.

This is Turkey and the wider Sunni world, including Saudi Arabia. Trump either can't see it or doesn't care, but this will mean Turkey on Israel's borders. Jolani might well disarm Hezbollah, but he will do it in the same way he slaughtered the Druze. It will be very ugly, and there won't be any Christians left.

To me one of the most important things said by President Trump today is that it is his desire to expand the Abraham Accords, bringing historic stability and prosperity to the Middle East. President Trump is correct in his analysis that this can only be achieved if the region believes Iran has been weakened or Iran has changed its behavior in terms of being a disruptive force and supporting terrorist organizations. I sincerely hope the upcoming negotiations to forever foreclose Iran’s nuclear ambitions are a success. Due to President Trump’s actions, it is clear to me Iran and its proxies are incredibly weakened and their ability to generate another October 7 doesn’t exist, and there has been a major setback in their nuclear capability. The ultimate win for taking on Iran is to open up a pathway to peace through Abraham Accord expansion and build on regional integration. If the conflict with Iran yields this outcome, it will be one of the most successful military operations in American history. Mr. President, you are right to keep your eye on the big prize: regional integration and lasting peace.
