Erosion and fluid dynamics are working today Going in a very different direction for @levelsio's #vibejam this time around AI assisted development has come a long way in a year and @threejs remains incredible to build with

The only time I've spent over 75/day on inference it's when my builder gets a catastrophic failure and ends up looping What are y'all doing with hundreds of dollars a day in openclaw?

I always start games with the very basics of interaction Things need to feel right at the start Here, it's environmental sculpting Pick up the sand, drop the sand If this doesn't feel right, nothing works

🕹️ THE VIBE JAM IS BACK! I present you... 🌟 2026 @cursor_ai Vibe Coding Game Jam #vibejam Sponsored by @boltdotnew + @cursor_ai Start: Today! Deadline: 1 May 2026 at 13:37 UTC, so you have a whole month to make your game! REAL CASH PRIZES: 🏆 Gold: $20,000 🥈 Silver: $10,000 🥉 Bronze: $5,000 RULES: - anyone can enter with their game - at least 90% of code has to be written by AI - it should be started today or after today, don't submit old games - game has to be accessible on web without any login or signup and free-to-play (preferrably its own domain or subdomain) - multiplayer games preferred but not required! - can use any engine but usually @ThreeJS is recommended - NO loading screens and heavy downloads (!!!) has to be almost instantly in the game (except maybe ask username if you want) - add the HTML code on the Google form in the reply below to show you're an entrant - one entry per person (focus on making one really good game!) WHAT TO USE: - anythign but we suggest @cursor_ai's Composer 3 and @boltdotnew, they are both fast, affordable and great at ThreeJS and making games THE JURY: Me, @s13k_, and I will ask some real game dev and AI people to jury again too Sponsors and jury suggestions still very welcome, just DM me! It will be interesting to see the difference in quality with last year, and the Vibe Jam can be kind of like a fun benchmark for AI coding seeing it close in on real commercial games I think To enter, complete the form in the reply below this tweet!

@thekitze The local models are about six months or so behind SOTA There's a reason all the Chinese models are open weights and tech is just starting to find out why

i have a feeling that local models on apple devices (both laptops and phones) will be good enough for everything that normies need but with maximum privacy at zero cost holy shit apple can do the funniest thing ever by mogging everyone and winning ai

A lot of people hitting their vests, spreading wings, and flying again It can be confusing or concerning when a lot of top talent is flying Market is red hot and there's a lot to build. I don't think there's anything more to it than that.

@orcdev @steipete @mattpocockuk Plan mode has a time and a place Either official mode or not, once we're in alignment about I invoke a plan for implementation You'll notice some want you to use their own plan modes or plan skills Or are trying to sell a course to plan better

you'll often see hot takes from famous AI people that just don't apply to regular devs one recent hot take from @steipete and @mattpocockuk : "I don't use plan mode", and a regular dev thinks ZOMG until you realize those guys have: - infinite tokens - 100 agents running in ralph loops - entire workflows auto iterating of course they don't need plan mode meanwhile regular dev needs plan mode, because regular dev is on a $20 subscription, and regular dev cannot burn 5b tokens a day, regular dev says hello and burns 4% of his session different game, different rules

@MikeIsaac Is this a dev relations acquisition? Acquire a show rather than spin one up? I don't get it

@GoogleLabs is the place to be :)
Nghi Bui@QuocNghi91

Happy to share that i have joined @GoogleAI @GoogleLabs as a scientist to build the next-generation coding agents. The next-generation coding agent should be the one that can autonomously do tasks without supervision, self-improving, and can be seen as a stepping stone towards SuperIntelligence. My approach stays the same: fast iteration between research ideas and user-facing products. Build it, ship it, learn from real users, and innovate from there. Believe this is the only way to thrive in the AI race and @GoogleLabs could be the right place to do this.

99.9% of people who "experienced" the Challenger disaster saw it on replay and now remember it as live. Almost NO ONE was watching. Everyone thinks they were. It's a fascinating collective false memory.
Jeremy London@SirJeremyLondon

Anyone who experienced the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion, like I did, is probably a bit hesitant to get too excited about the Artemis II launch today. I truly hope our children don’t have to experience such tragedy. May the Universe welcome them and return them safely home 🙏

Is this your king?
gregorein@Gregorein

for added context: when a 17yo developer (@xiaonweb) politely pointed out that bragging about LOC is silly, Garry's response was to publicly call them a "clout farmer." the "clout farming" teen... wrote a browser engine in Rust at 17. HTML tokenizer, CSS cascade, box model layout, GPU renderer via wgpu, and published a technical breakdown showing deeper understanding of how the web works than most senior engineers I've worked with (including me, cos I've never dug that low-level). vs the "shipping" guy, the president of Y Combinator, a multi-billion dollar startup kingmaker, who mass-generates code with 113 Claude sessions a week, counts lines like a Duolingo streak, and ships test files, 0-byte AVIFs, and 4 MB uncompressed PNGs to production. right, punch down at a teenager. on main @. x.com/xiaonweb/statu…
