@jonathanwmeier@linuz90 I like custom UI that isn’t driven by Apple or Android. Screw “native” design as far as I’m concerned let people design what they want.
@linuz90 Yeah, this has been driving me nuts. You can swipe it up to send away, but it feels like a cheap non-native notification bar you'd get on a mobile web app. I don't understand who makes choices at twitter dot com.
@NehemiahKiv If your not doing it this way, your likely wrong.
The exception is building something that needs to be consumed and restyled via CSS by another party. Most of you aren’t
@kurtkemple I’m not saying it’s enough but that *literally* is an apology?
“and we sincerely apologize to those who had a bad experience and were negatively impacted by what we now recognize were missteps on our part.”
@thnk2wn@IrisClasson You can always create a static frontend with your posts still being managed by WordPress whilst utilising the WP API. Then you get the best of both worlds?
@IrisClasson In general though I’m still torn on the approach. I like the speed of static sites but having a build and CI process and upgrading Javascript frameworks and such can slow down posting time / focus on content. Also things like search, comments and other dynamic items gone/harder
Also, not sure if anybody noticed, but I FINALLY migrated my Wordpress blog to a static site wohoooo! Anybody interested in how I did that? I had thousands of posts that had to be migrated 😅
Big fan of @LevelUpTuts, their series are not too long, correctly assumes *some* prior knowledge where appropriate and good explanations with examples.
I use it alongside @eggheadio for most my learning.
Would recommend 👍🏻
Looking for a PHP beginner to intern with a company in Lagos, remote-onsite can be arranged and hopefully you get enrolled in after 3 months.
Emphases on INTERN.
You get a 50k stipend/m, you move up into a full junior role in few months.
You can reply.
btw just so everyone is aware, MDN is an open public wiki... as long as it's still online we can all still own and maintain it. it's always been our collective responsibility anyway.
@davidwalshblog Ah man this is terrible news.
For yourself, or any of the other @mozilla developer lay offs I urge you to check out my site which focuses on finding remote opportunities for software developers.
Check out employremotely.com 👈🏻
All the best!
Sadly, after 8.5 amazing years, my Mozilla dream has come to and end.
Excited for the next dream though! If you're looking for a passionate, web-loving engineer, shoot me a DM or email.

Not keen on @discord phrasing here depending on the answer to the following question.
Is there ever a scenario where they will NOT collect information from me when interacting through the Services?
Anthony Martial was signed by Manchester United 5 years ago for £54m. Nobody is denying that he had an impressive season, but nominating him for the YPOTY award over Bukayo Saka - who is 6 years younger than him - sums up exactly what it wrong with the selection process.
I’m looking for my next role!

@levelsio Was going to use it, but bought employremotely.com instead. It’s just sat there since. Classic domain owner, one day it will be a side project 🤦🏼♂️
Building a 🔑 credit system tonight for remoteworkers.dev, so a recruiter/company has to buy credits and can then unlock/view a profile and it costs 1 credit, if they want to message it's 5 (or 10?) credits.
And the credits I can then sell in a bundle!
@jacksonhvisuals So are you saying you don’t want to follow over X amount of people, or that you’re concerned about your ratio?
Personally, “followers” is a vanity metric. I come here to engage with and learn from the people I choose to follow. Follower count isn’t necessarily a concern of mine.
Do y'all care about your following / follower ratio here on Twitter?
I keep coming across new people who I'd love to follow, but I kinda don't like the idea of following over 1K people...
Thoughts?
