Just a few months ago, Edwards was featured in the New York Post as he stepped into his role as chief of Patrol Borough Manhattan North. Edwards was still in college during the September 11 attacks. “I saw what happened, and I took one of the first tests” for the academy afterward, he told The Post. “When everyone was running out of the Twin Towers, we had police officers and first responders running in. That selfless heroism drew me to the profession,” Edwards said. “Since I started, I fell in love with policing.”
