I have to post it again because I’m so excited about it. I was featured in a video with @cursor_ai and I just can’t stop smiling about it. cursor.com/blog/box

The best upgrade by far on this new Macbook Pro is that I went to nanotexture display. So much better.

@thorstenball I’m going to print this out and put it on my wall. This is the stark truth, and honestly it’s always been this way since the invention of UNIX and the unix philosophy.

Some people haven't stared into GPT-5.3-Codex' sdead dark eyes long enough. They haven't looked into the abyss deep enough to notice that down there there's only sed, rg, nl, cat, and awk. It hasn't hit them that if you take a handful of Unix tools and combine it with intelligence that there's essentially nothing it can't do.

Lately, whenever I open this app and see the latest tricks, and hacks, and notes, and workflows, and spec here and skill there, I can't help but think: All of this will be washed away by the models. Every Markdown file that's precious to you right now will be gone.

Honestly what is there to compete on at this point for a dev job? Like code reviews?

@RandallKanna i’ll give you a real answer here. all the orchestration and tweaking is pure masturbation. the value moving forward is identifying places you can implement this deterministically in a clever way to provide value. it’s that simple. but at the same time not simple at all.

@dillon_mulroy If you haven’t, have the agent add cookie support to your web-fetch extension so that you can also fetch sites you’re already logged into. That help random troubleshooting tasks quite a bit.

thoughts after day 1 of using pi full time - less is more - i don't miss subagents like i thought i would - /tree is an insanely good context management primitive (and partially why i havent reached for subagents yet) - based only on vibes, i think having a minimum system prompt is improving code quality - telling pi to copy opencodes webfetch and websearch tools was a good play

@MatthewBerman @sriramk @badlogicgames It also makes it very easy to evolve the harness in the same way you can evolve open claw. There isn’t an extension that does what you want… have pi create it and you can just start using it.

have switched to pi.dev as my agent harness. @badlogicgames has built something very useful. what do folks like as an extension to manage multiple agents at the same time. something that would - show me the status of various agents - show me what is stuck - run meta analysis to suggest better mechanisms (switch models, a side agent that can analyze the current agents) might code one up if nothing exists.

Pi from @badlogicgames is the next step in LLM harnesses. Once you dig in and start extending it you literally can’t imagine using anything else.

I still like when they announce that my 911 is ready for pick up at the car wash (extremely shallow, I know). I’ve worked hard for that car and it feels good to hear it’s mine.

@notsunsakis @bcherny don't call it vibe coding - that's associated with yolo i smash head on keyboard, not thinking, engineering, building, testing, debugging, iterating. agentic engineering, or just...coding. We move faster, but it's still hard.

Has anybody vibe coded their way into product market fit? From the top of my dome: Claude Code: founded in 2024 as an internal tool by @bcherny who prototyped it at Anthropic and within a week nearly half of developers there were using it. Long considered their moat, eventually it was decided to release it to the public. After being so successful internally, this dogfooded product had already found a market fit among the devs and it spread like wildfire. OpenClaw: This tool by @steipete initially named ClawdBot, then at Claude legal department’s request renamed to MoltBot, and eventually OpenClaw along with acquisition by OpenAI and MoltBook by Meta, was another success story that was made real by granting AI executive power, just like Claude Code. These two vibe coded tools share a lot of similarities - they are AI harnesses that give the models that run them agentic power, in other words, permission to edit files autonomously. Any other vibe coded tools found a product market fit?
