ANNOUNCEMENT — @HopeHackHQ Fellowship, $50k prize Teenagers are people too. They can think, they can create, they can build. They have the most energy, and the most neurons. Confining them to schools that resemble prisons is a crime against humanity. I started creating software at age 12. I was raised in a depressing place and bullied in school. Many of my classmates went into drugs and crime. I was lucky to discover coding, and directed all my energy and passion towards it. Then I went on to start companies. I failed many times, but eventually created successful companies that are shaping entire industries — like @AragonProject with DAOs, or @CitizenX with citizenship. I know how hard it is. I want to give bright talented teenagers a chance to meet each other, make friends, and build things together. Some of the world’s best companies have been founded by teenagers and drop outs. We'll give the opportunity for teenagers all around the world to apply online and show us what they have built. Then we will select the fellows, welcome them to our online community of young builders and bring them together in an in-person event. In that event, we will announce the winner of a $50,000 grant from the fellowship. Imagine how many more Elon Musks we would have, if only our first two decades on this planet weren’t spent sitting in classrooms that resemble prisons. That’s why I started @HopeHackHQ. For those young hackers that just don’t fit in today’s society. For those who cannot wait to build. For those whose future is now 🔮

THE BEST PASSPORT PROGRAM One year ago, @nayibbukele announced the Freedom Visa Program in partnership with @tether A one-of-a-kind citizenship program to acquire a Salvadorian passport for $1,000,000 in Bitcoin or USDt. This price is not maximizing the revenue per citizen, but positioning the country as a freedom haven. The Freedom Visa attracts entrepreneurs and investors who believe in and want to be part of the long-term success of the nation, and are willing to put their capital where their mouth is. IMO El Salvador kick-started a movement where sovereign nations can finance themselves directly from citizens, using Bitcoin. Additionally, Tether's implementation enables a efficient due diligence processes that makes this program the fastest in the world. Something many other countries can learn from.
