Since posting videos on xTwitter is like a fire and forget. and they get buried in your timeline somewhere, I thought about an interim solution for listing all the videos. It seems that the Highlights tab on my profile was never used by me. So I went through my timeline and added all my videos I wanted to be found quickly and/or be able to browse through by anybody else quickly. I guess, forget the whole heat about the August 18, 2025 accident of the Cybertruck. Here is FSD v14.2.2.5, @Painkiller, I hope you stocked up on enough pain killers, as the Tesla fans will rip you apart. If that is what FSD will do with about 0% visibility of the front camera, then I say Austin, we have a problem. Was the camera interpreting this as snow on the road?

Accident on #FSD. Sure I am responsible as I was looking at the screen. But how is FSD driving with almost no visibility, remember human visibility has been fine without any issues. I don't even think I had a camera visibility alert or the system was asking to pay attention.

One thing is now clearer to me. It actually goes up the slope and it is really at a late point that you see the layout of the intersection. That is all I am saying.

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier. Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

I had the harshest braking on fsd 14.2 going ~65mph on the interstate today. I just pulled the video footage & I'm sharing this for transparency. It was 30 degrees this morning & I defrosted the car before driving. It appears the camera still didn't have full visibility yet & was driving up until this point with no red wheel errors / visibility issues. Fsd braked hard when it saw the VDOT person in the shoulder but it overreacted IMO cuz it shouldn't brake that hard if the person isn't moving towards the lane. After seeing that haze on the camera, idk why fsd wasn't throwing any warnings. I did have a red wheel error this afternoon but that footage doesn't show any visibility issues. Be vigilant & always be ready to intervene / disengage. Luckily I was ready and hit the accelerator instantly to avoid a worse situation. I also disengaged afterwards & submitted a voice note.

I will get a ton of blowback for what I am about to say, but here goes. I have let people use FSD on all of my Teslas since I first got it. Over all the years I have seen the same issue over and over again. When they are unfamiliar, they did not notice when it disengaged. The sound of disengagement is not very loud and can easily be missed, when inexperienced. I am not saying that Tesla was at fault, but it would be nice to have a default setting and clear voice and visual announcement, that FSD has been disengaged. Have said so in my live streams as well. Then there could be an advanced setting where you turn that "off" to basically what it is right now. It can be missed for beginners, as some touch the wheel or tap the brakes, not knowing that they actually disengaged. Again, I said what I said, but if you disagree, I ask you to let some none Tesla drivers drive your car.

UPDATE: Elon Musk says the driver of this Cybertruck disengaged Autopilot four seconds before crashing, which means the driver was manually driving during this entire clip that Fox shared. Elon: "As anyone knows who uses it, that video is not how Autopilot drives."
