Funny how Material design is nothing like a material at all anymore while Apple literally invented a new material for their UI

The irony of AI image gen is that designs will look and feel a lot more « human » because creating using traditional art style just became much more accessible so we won’t have to recycle the same gradients and flat illustrations over and over again anymore.

Weird that there's no app for renovations projects. A mix of Figma & Notion, you collaborate on your floor-plan, view materials, paints, layouts. Track open items, discuss, make decision, calculate budget as you go. With a marketplace to buy products. I expected this to exist.

A content editor licence type in @figma would be game changer

With the rise of zoom meetings and the influencer economy there’s probably a very fun startup to build where anyone could get sponsored and do adverts on there videocall backgrounds with affiliate links just like you see on youtube videos 😄

@jamesm @clerk Most of the time Saas go from sidebar to top bar, they revert it within a year or so because of wasted screen real estate, lack of scalability when pages are being added, no way to localize those texts, etc. Stripe’s a good example 😄

Last week, I made a small website for a family member’s business. I had an idea for a subtle header animation, but I couldn’t justify how it would make the site any better than the static, non-animated version. It made me wonder: does craft in web design matter anymore?

Now that all music is distributed through subscriptions based platforms, how do you gift music to someone? Sharing a link doesn’t have the same effect as it used to be when offering a CD or vinyl.

I really hope that when you die, you get a recap, like stats and all. And a ranking of how you performed compared to your alternate lives, ability to dive into the branching points and watch other lives. Would definitely pay for that, even if it’s the afterlife premium package.

@ridd_design @webflow It makes me think of vintage japanese logo like an Atari arcade game! This aesthetic is really cool and rarely seen lately so it gives them a strong identity. Launching the Webflow editor feels like you’re entering a cool video game.

I'm not great at critiquing logos... But it's pretty clear that @webflow crushed it which feels rare tbh ⭐ Why do you think this landed so well? Genuinely curious.
