Vance has done nothing to deserve excommunication. Biden/every single pro-abort politician across the world deserve it, but that would be self-defeating because it would result in a full-court press on the Church, taking away its charitable status/tax exemptions, bankrupting it

How Vance hasn't been excommunicated yet is beyond me. There's plenty of religious charlatans surrounding Trump that I'm sure would be happy to give him whatever they've decided passes for Communion. He has no need to receive it from the Roman Catholic Church.

There is a severe lack of blunt, austere grandmothers and aunties today. And not just among Indians.
The pre-boomer old people were typically very real and matter of fact, non emotional, about many things.
Opposite of today's "feelings first" manner of speaking.

@Empty_America That’s so funny. It used to be the same in rural Vermont. No matter the weather, the real locals always wore jeans and steel toed boots. Shorts were for flatlanders. This has changed over the years however

You know that a foreign living in Mexico hasn’t fully integrated to Mexico if he’s still wearing shorts when it’s hot. Mexicans don’t wear shorts daily even when it’s extremely hot. That’s also how you can easily identify gringos outside of expats bubbles.

Women move to NYC because they unconsciously know that the City screens out timid and low openness/boring types of men.

This is not a novel observation but the gender ratio in NYC is nuts. Every restaurant crowd in Soho is like 5-8 women for every man. I’m sure it’s like a 5% difference from SF but it feels like being on shore leave from an aircraft carrier

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.
