@icanni @Watislifefr @theuncle73 Not if he is self-employed, it isn't. Motoring penalties aren't tax deductible.

Binky Felstead’s PA contacted luxury London bakery Anges de Sucre asking for a free yellow train cake for her three-year-old son Wilder’s birthday.
In return? Just one Instagram story post from Binky’s 1.4 million follower account.
Owner Reshmi Bennett publicly shared the emails, slammed the “exposure” deal and mocked it with a satirical £1.4m GoFundMe.
Binky’s team called it a standard contra request before apologising when it was declined.
Classic "celebrity" freebie chase.

This is Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke, she has sentenced an ex-soldier with PTSD, Daffron Williams, to two and a half years in prison for Facebook comments.
She also sentenced someone for posting a video on social media to 12 months.
But that exact same judge let off a child rapist called Reese Newman because she said the prisons were overcrowded
This is British Justice.

@BMLSTHolder I'd much rather win the cup. In 20 years time, who is going to look back & say "wasn't it great that year we finished 13th in the PL". It's about memories & trophies create memories.

@SamanthaTaghoy No doubt there will be an exemption from investigation for politicians, especially Labour ones.

The Head of the Grooming Gangs Inquiry says they will investigate public figures who were complicit in the scandal.
Alright then.
Let’s make it easier for them:
𝗞𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿
Called protestors of Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs “far-Right bandwagon jumpers”, refused a national inquiry until he was forced to backtrack, oversaw the failure to prosecute offenders as head of the Crown Prosecution Service etc.
𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀
Voted against a national inquiry, ignored council requests to meet, watered down the Gov’s “local enquiries” until they were scrapped altogether, accused victims of being far-Right, downplayed the severity and scale of abuse, repeatedly denied and shut out victims from speaking out
𝗦𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗾 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗻
Repeatedly denied the existence of grooming gangs in London, claimed there were “no reported cases and also no indication”, voted down proposals for an inquiry into Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs in London, took away 4.5 million in funding for the inquiry
𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗣
Labour MP and former Leader of Telford and Wrekin Council, oversaw the fallout of the Telford scandal, downplayed the severity and scale of CSE in Telford, attempted to block an independent inquiry, voted against a national inquiry, protected Cabinet members who played an active role in the scandal (eg. Cabinet Member who said that girls’ claims were “made up on the back of a fag packet”)
𝗔𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗺
Refused to launch an independent inquiry into grooming gangs in Greater Manchester, despite victims’ testimony and police whistleblowers confirming widespread cover-ups
𝗡𝗮𝘇 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵
Labour MP who told victims of grooming gangs to “shut their mouths for the good of diversity”, trivialising and silencing abuse survivors
𝗟𝘂𝗰𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹
Called Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs a “far-Right dog whistle” and a “trumpet” that is used to unfairly smear Labour, accused victims of being far-Right and exaggerating their abuse
𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝘆𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗶
Laughed about the mass rape of little girls by Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs, joked that every Pakistani person is accused of being a groomer, claimed to instigate grooming gang conspiracies
Oh, and every single councillor, police officer, social worker, sexual health clinic staff member, and other official who silenced, vilified or turned a blind eye to the systemic abuse of little British girls.
Who else?

@WasAcop @gone_to_Turkish He could always make a voluntary contribution to HMRC for the tax that would, ordinarily, be due.

@gone_to_Turkish They’ve said reintroduction of the LTC is too complicated..

🚨 Keir Starmer’s secret pension perk that regular workers can never get.
In 2013, as DPP, he got SI 2013/2588: a custom “Pension Scheme for Keir Starmer QC” that is tax-unregistered.
That means his entire 2008-2013 pot dodged the Lifetime Allowance cap (then ~£1.5m) and the 55% tax hit normal people pay on excess savings.
Plus full inflation uprating under the 1971 Act — guaranteed.
You? Pay tax on every penny over the cap, with no special rules or loopholes.
Elites write the rules for themselves. Starmer’s “one rule for me” pension is proof. Hypocrisy level: maximum.

@ColeFusionHQ Used to work with a girl called Throm, short for thrombosis because she was a slow moving clot.

6 English teams in the Round of 16.
4 are out.
Barcelona 8-3 Newcastle
PSG 8-2 Chelsea
Real Madrid 5-1
Atletico Madrid 7-5 Tottenham
Only one English team will potentially progress, which is Arsenal, and it’s because they’re playing Sporting (no disrespect to sporting). PSG will likely progress (
these are my predictions).
Let’s be honest, the football played in England has declined this season. Teams have refused to play, there’s too much money involved in the league, people are too careful to play football now. Lots of time wasting, lots of dark arts football, throw ins, set pieces are the order of the day.
Little or no brilliance. These are things I think have affected them. What do you think?

@LeeHurstComic An old accountant boss of mine once said that all taxes should be abolished except one - a transaction tax. So for every purchase you make a transaction tax is applied. That way, the more you spend, the more tax you pay which would probably mean high earners spend more & pay more
English

IDEA
How about we set a legal, simplified tax rate.
15% for everyone on all their income.
No personal allowance.
Just a flat rate of 15%.
Then…
The government can only spend that much. No more.
It has to live within its means.
How about that?
Maybe we can the. pay off the debt and then cut the 15% rate further.
Sounds like a plan to ne.

@RacingPost He'll probably be back on Thursday. Tough breed, those jockeys.

Annual reminder that Karl Marx’s only positive contribution to the world was to feed the worms with his bloated, rotted corpse.
He refused to bathe, work, or at all provide for his family, preferring instead to sponge off of Engles.
He slept with his servant, refused to take accountability for the resulting child, and his family was so miserable that his daughter later killed herself.
Jacobin@jacobin
Karl Marx died on this day in 1883. His work helps us not only understand capitalism but fight for a world free of exploitation and domination 🧵

@kelvmackenzie That's unfortunately where we are in politics.
If the Libs hated dogshit and Trump said dogshit was bad, the Libs would create new research saying dogshit is actually good and advocate eating it.

Spectator columnist Douglas Murray makes a good point when he says that although Iran’s regime punishes homosexuality by the death penalty , neither gay activists Russell T Davies or Alan Cummings or gay mags Pink News or Attitude have come out (!) in favour of the Muslim monsters falling.
Why? It seems they would rather see their gay brothers’ hanging from cranes by their neck than support the United States.
Sickening.
