@AVARY I can never listen to Harry Nilsson’s “ Without You “ without thinking about that scene, the one that left me feeling numb the rest of the film. Brilliant. Such a great film and soundtrack too.

@AVARY It started snowing just like that as soon as we left the cinema. This film is a bright flash in my memory and an integral part of my entire subsequent life. I watched it 4 times in the cinema. I couldn’t imagine that I'd ever tell you this directly. Thank you very much, Roger.

@AVARY This is one of those movies that I;ve enjoyed having almost as my own because it is so woefully under-known and underrated. But for its own notoriety (and for your own @AVARY), I would also like it to finally get its proper due as an odd, dark, bitter, yet also funny classic.

@AVARY We had an employee screening of it at a multiplex the Thursday before. A few of us knew we just saw a cult classic. It’s so wild that it got made and was given a wide release. Truly grateful that I lived in an era where that could happen.
