@BBCNews Didn't EG buy ASDA for £6.8 billion a few years ago? Have the Issa brothers effectively just sold their own business to themselves here? 🤔 Or have they essentially ceded ownership of a majority of their business to TDR Capital that's been bankrolling EG?
@BBCNews It’s just financial runaround’s . Selling a company to a different one owned by same people. No benefit to customers or employees just profiteering or tax issues
@BBCNews Asda's corporate HQ is Leeds so not only do they pay tax in the UK (keeping us alive via NHS) but theyre also British-Indian owned so the capital gets recirculated into the economy instead of sent overseas (keeping us working). I hope it goes well for them, & by them, i mean us.
@BBCNews And we hear all these excuses that supermarkets make no money and are on tight margins due to competition - what a joke just look at the shareholder profits ! Massive profits on food and now they invest in another racket , fuel supplies
@BBCNews@BBCLancashire So the fuel cartel within Hyndburn and Blackburn will remain.. £143.9 per litre unleaded in Hyndburn (Asda). £138.9 per litre in Haslingden and Burnley (Tesco). I know where I’ll be filling up.
@BBCNews All money making scam. Getting eyewash. Regarding Asda quality and management getting worse day by day since acquired by these brothers. Prices are higher now.
