@CodeRed_dev itchio is Newgrounds focused on indie games. It's awesome
English

@CodeRed_dev Itch.io is incredibly important. Not just to get exposure, but the community truly values indie.
English

@CodeRed_dev Itch .io is awesome, but steam is just in another league
English

@CodeRed_dev It seems to me that Itch .io has more opportunities for indie gamedevs!
(for example, Buckshot Roulette was first released on Itch .io and the steam release is only on April 4th)

@CodeRed_dev Again dude with polarizing tweets><
Both have their own place in our world

@CodeRed_dev Steam is the backbone of PC game development and shouldn't feel any less approachable than itch_io
It does have a cost to buy an App ID
But that is refunded to you (as a credit for a second/third/etc app id)
We have tons of guides to help get you going!
English

@CodeRed_dev Its great place to get your little projects out there if they are not in the sellable state yet
English

@CodeRed_dev I only use it for my game jams. Any tips or guides for getting the most out of itch?
English

@CodeRed_dev Itch is very dev-friendly! I wish I'd started using it to share my alpha builds sooner.
I do plan to take my game to Steam as well when the time is right, because Steam is where more players are.
English

@CodeRed_dev Itch is great, but selling games there has been tough, atleast for me. Most players seem to expect free games, and even with low prices, sales are minimal.
On Steam I have been able to sell way more, even at higher prices, but that 100 usd fee, and that 30% cut ...Painful...
English

@CodeRed_dev The only real advantage it has is that it's free and customisable. Beyond that, it's meh
English

@CodeRed_dev Newgrounds better than itch. There are monthly prizes and 10x the playerbase
