One thing is clear. President Trump is going max in his last term. He is going after the difficult to impossible tasks that have long plagued the U.S. geopolitically. He is not guided by polls or talking heads on the news or social media. Panama Canal, Venezuela, Iran, China etc… History will judge the results, but on some level you gotta respect his commitment to his conviction that he is acting in the best interest of America.

I think he is purposely moving fast and attacking foundational problems. Trade. Economics. Energy. Over regulation. Government taxation and election laws. So everybody will be mad at him for four years. And then Rubio and Vance or Vance and Rubio will come on and humanize the golden age. President Trump is doing all the hard dirty thankless work. I pray for that man every day.

The man has children and grandchildren. He knows exactly what is happening at our southern and northern borders. He knows China has gained a foothold in our own hemisphere. He also knows China has allied itself with the radical Islamists (for now). We have a major national security nightmare unfolding and he is trying not to kick the can to the next generation. At this point, his boorish tendencies are much less of a concern than what he is trying to achieve before he leaves office.
