@TomK_Brit1993 "And the really stupid part is that many of you still haven’t grasped the bigger point. Keir Starmer was never the real problem. Labour is." Showing yourself to be rather arrogant. Suggesting that most people are too stupid to realise this point reflects what an idiot you are.

The reaction to Keir Starmer’s resignation has been ugly. You can think he was a bad Prime Minister. I do. You can think he got a great deal wrong. He did. I’ve said as much often enough myself. But if you watched a man stand there, visibly broken, resigning after less than two years in one of the most brutal jobs in the country, and felt nothing but glee, mockery or spite, that does not make you insightful. It makes you emotionally stunted. Some of you are so tribal, so nasty and so utterly lacking in grace that you watched a man being brought down in public and treated it as entertainment. It is a very ugly look, and a very small one. And the really stupid part is that many of you still haven’t grasped the bigger point. Keir Starmer was never the real problem. Labour is. The ideology is. Remove the man at the top and the machine remains. I wanted him gone too. But wanting him gone and behaving like a pack of sneering little yobs when he finally falls are not the same thing.

Absolutely appalling. No one should face violence on our streets. The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred. I will not tolerate this - he will face the full force of the law. My thoughts are with those who are injured and I thank the police and the emergency services for their response. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

🚨 Astonishingly, the heads of the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service’s (GMFRS) ‘race and faith’ network have sent an email to firefighters, targeting staff members standing as candidates for Reform UK. The email stated these individuals were "spoken to" and that management is seeking "legal guidance" to protect their "inclusive culture." Sending an anti-Reform UK political broadcast on public systems during a regulated election period is a shocking breach of electoral neutrality and is unlawful. Firefighters have every legal right to stand for election. Hounding staff for lawful political views is unacceptable and is proof of the exact perception that anyone questioning an aggressive DEI agenda will be chased out of their job. I have written to Chief Fire Officer Dave Russel demanding answers. Petch and Ahmed - the network heads responsible - appear to have committed gross misconduct and should be dismissed. GMFRS must apologize to Reform UK and the affected staff. We have given GMFRS until Wednesday to answer 8 specific demands, including providing transcripts of what was said to our candidates and explaining why these network heads are permitted to weaponize IT systems. I am also calling on HMICFRS (@HMICFRS) and the Electoral Commission (@ElectoralCommUK) to urgently investigate this unlawful breach. Full letter below. 👇

The illegal Israeli settlements are a moral outrage and a deliberate attempt to put a just peace out of reach. A ban on trade with these settlements is essential. These are some of the reasons why I signed this letter. Thank you @melanie_ward for organising.
Melanie Ward MP@melanie_ward

Together with almost 140 fellow Labour MPs, I have written to the Foreign Secretary to call for a ban on trade with illegal Israeli settlements. Our group includes every Labour select committee chair. It’s time to be clear that settlements have no viable economic future (1/2)

@daveatherton @HantsPolice Jumping on the bandwagon! Police don't just arrest without reason. Even if rationale is flaky at best. Many of the people were not their to pay respects to the Novak family. They were there to cause trouble. Posting as if everything is clear cut or black & white is just wrong.

I have written to the Health Secretary to call for a change in miscarriage care. Families shouldn't have to endure repeated loss before accessing care, tests and treatments that could prevent another miscarriage. It’s time we consider a more compassionate approach - Tommy’s Graded Model offers a hopeful way forward. @tommys

Robert, don’t just spread rhetoric to win votes. You can’t do that. I know Fatima very well, I’m not her defender I must be clear on this and while I’m not saying it is necessarily right for her name to still be attached to the council flat, you are flat-out lying here. Fatima was a single mother and a British citizen. Her son and daughter were born in London, and she was close to homelessness when she was given that council flat many years ago. Her then-partner, the former Gambia national team captain, got her and another woman pregnant, abandoned them both, and disappeared, as celebrities sometimes do. She was struggling badly at the time. Later, through the usual London social circles, she met people who connected her to the former Gambian dictator. She dated him for a period, entered the film industry, and produced a movie called The Mirror Boy. Many years later, she met her current husband, who was then an army officer in Sierra Leone. He eventually became president. She was not his first wife, but life unfolded in such a way that she became the First Lady of the country. Does that suddenly disqualify her from a council flat she received as a young single mother living in poverty with children to care for? Those children needed a home. They are not responsible for their parents’ choices, and they do not deserve to be dragged into political PR campaigns just to help you or Reform win votes. That said, if she never bought the flat after all these years, then perhaps she should eventually give it up. I believe the children are around 16–18 years old now, and I think she originally received the flat around the time they were born.

Why on earth does the First Lady of Sierra Leone get a council flat in London? @reformparty_uk would boot her out and give it to a homeless veteran. Our people must come first. Always.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for mainstream media outlets to explain the contradictions in their Gaza reporting. How do you reconcile claims of famine and starvation with a mass marathon being held in the same territory? The genocide narrative is fading as the truth comes to light, the world has been sold a carefully curated version of events. The reporting on Gaza stands as some of the most expensive propaganda ever pushed.

🔥🚨DEVELOPING: JP Morgan executive is being accused of turning an married Indian man that she hired into her personal sex slave that she drugged, forced to have intercorse with her while making him take viagra as she threatened to take his job from him if he didn’t comply. When the alleged victim said no, she allegedly told him: "If you don't f*k me soon, I'm going to ruin you. Never forget, I f*king own you." Additional alleged remarks: "You really think management wants some Indian boy leading organizations?" “If you don’t have sex with me tonight, I’m going to sabotage your promotion.” “I bet your little Asian fish-head wife doesn’t have these cannons.” If these allegations are true they should be met with the same scrutiny as if the roles were reversed.

It is possible that a larger & stronger trans or intersex athlete could pose a safety risk to smaller c_s athletes (and vice-versa). To exclude a bigger & stronger athlete on safety grounds sets a precedent that would argue for the exclusion of equally big & strong c_s athletes. From a safety perspective, it is the disparity in size & strength that is relevant, not the source of the disparity.
Kirsti Miller@KirstiMiller30

We let 230lb women play RUGBY against 100lb women--a difference of 130lbs. But Terfs are worried about a trans woman who might be 10lbs heavier on average than the AVERAGE for cis women? See, you're worried about something that is a full order of magnitude smaller.
