The President claims that the SAVE America Act is necessary to stop the scourge of noncitizen voting. So I looked at the data. The Bipartisan Policy Center analyzed the conservative Heritage Foundation’s Election Fraud Database and found only 77 cases of noncitizens successfully casting ballots in American elections over 24 years.

Inflation doesn’t matter if wages are outpacing it. The amount of money you make, the inflation rate, none of that matters. It’s just numbers thrown around. The only thing that matters is purchasing power. It doesn’t matter if you make 3 dollars an hour or 10k an hour, what matters is what you can buy with it. If you make 10k an hour and a new loaf of bread costs 8k dollars then all you have done is just make the math and big numbers harder to keep up with. I would rather make 1 dollar an hour and a loaf of bread cost 25 cents. Sounds like you would be poor but you wouldn’t be. The average Mexican wage is about 17,000 pesos a month. Sounds like they are rich rich. They ain’t.

Told yall. Democrats are playing games and trying to pick and choose which parts of federal law enforcement they fund. They are super mad that they got caught letting illegals in and ICE is scaring people out of the country and kicking the rest out. Democrats had big plans. They don’t care about TSA, if they lose the illegal immigration fight they won’t have guaranteed election power. That’s what this is about, democrats are mad at ice over the way ice is treating illegal aliens. The democrats are on their side, they are not on your side. They are not on the side of citizens or the law.

This is the only thing you need to know. Democrats want to open TSA. Republicans are refusing because they want to attach ICE funding. That’s why there are long lines. ICE.

I just tried to fast track a bill to pay TSA workers NOW. Sadly, Republicans in DC keep blocking it. We all agree that TSA should be paid so what is the hold up? This is insanity.

No enforcement at "sensitive locations" Mandatory body cameras, visible ID badges/names/numbers (must display agency, unique ID, and last name at all times; verbalize if asked), Local law enforcement oversight These have been non-negotiable for Democrats even after White House counteroffers (which included partial concessions like more body-cam funding and sensitive-location limits but omitted the warrant and mask bans). politico.com

Senate Democrats have tried to pay TSA workers multiple times. Senate Republicans have blocked it every single time.

And the forms of ID needed to do these things aren’t accepted forms of identification under the SAVE America Act. If this was an actual voter ID bill, Republicans would ensure every eligible voter received a voter ID.

This is a mess. The goalposts around what “Operation Epic Fury” is going to accomplish are moving constantly to accommodate whoever is in front of the cameras. Trump claiming that we didn’t expect Iran to retaliate doesn’t hold up. Iran warned the UN weeks earlier, and experts flagged the risk before the strikes. You can debate whether the decision to go to war was right or wrong. But the idea that Iran’s response—or threats like closing the Strait of Hormuz—came out of nowhere just isn’t supported by the evidence. And now we’re paying for our hubris.

@SenatorSlotkin @drodvik52 Please start doing some kind of outreach to TSA to let them know this is happening(I’m not sure what you’re legally able to do for them) but some how they need to be seeing that it’s the GOP stopping this and making their families suffer.

Today, I took to the Senate floor to try to pass funding for TSA. My Republican colleagues said no. They are holding all the other Homeland Security agencies hostage because of ICE. Set ICE aside while we negotiate reforms. Fund everything else today.

Doesn’t really matter if you don’t buy gas every single day. Most people are running on gas they bought already at a lower price. It is temporary. If it goes even lower later then it will average out and be better in the long run. 3 months of higher gas prices is worth guaranteed lower prices in the future. Without this action we would have lower prices now but zero guarantee they would stay that way. As evidenced, all Iran ever had to do was shut down the straight after they had all of their missiles and rockets and then what? Do the same thing as now but it last much longer, be more deadlier and more costlier but hopefully it would be a democrat president we didn’t like that had to do it?
