Defending Our Rights Is Not Provocation The Stratbase Institute rejects the Chinese Embassy’s attempt to invert reality by portraying the Philippines as the “provoker” in the West Philippine Sea. The facts are consistent and well-documented: it is China’s maritime forces that repeatedly employ coercive and dangerous acts at sea, including water cannons, aggressive maneuvers, and ramming incidents that have damaged Philippine vessels and harmed even Filipino civilians. The core issue is not “perception” but law. Under UNCLOS, the 2016 Arbitral Award is final and binding on the parties and rejected China’s expansive “historic rights” claims. Respect for international law, not rhetorical accusations, is the only durable foundation for stability. Calls for “restraint” ring hollow when paired with continued harassment of Philippine ships and fisherfolk whose livelihoods depend on waters international law recognizes within the Philippines’ maritime entitlements. De-escalation begins when coercion ends. We likewise stress that economic ties cannot be invoked to excuse violations of sovereign rights; Philippine data show a persistent trade imbalance that does not erase accountability. The Philippines maintains strong and mutually beneficial economic partnerships with many countries, and none of these partners assert their interests through intimidation, coercion, or the use of force at sea. Stratbase supports dialogue and a meaningful Code of Conduct, but any agreement must be anchored in UNCLOS and consistent with the 2016 Award. Proposals that constrain lawful partnerships, exercises, or resource development are not confidence-building measures; they are attempts to curtail the Philippines’ sovereign choices. Peace will not be secured by silencing the victim, but by ending the wrongdoing and upholding the rule of law. Prof. Victor Andres C. Manhit President Stratbase Institute

🇨🇳 vs 🌍 Thread 🧵 exposing the red peril 🚨🚨🚨 The dragon awakens not to share the world… but to consume it. China’s rise isn’t progress, it’s the greatest threat to freedom, security, and our children’s future. Wake up before it’s too late. They pollute the skies, steal the tech, silence the truth, and arm for domination. China isn’t a competitor, it’s the enemy future generations will curse us for ignoring. The evidence is mounting. Keep reading. While the world debates “competition,” the CCP builds walls, camps, and warships. This isn’t partnership. This is existential danger. China: Enemy of humanity’s tomorrow. See the nightmare visuals below. From Uyghur camps to Taiwan threats, from fentanyl floods to global espionage China’s playbook is clear: Dominate or destroy. Our kids inherit the fallout if we stay silent. No excuses left. The giant isn’t friendly. It’s hungry. China’s aggression endangers every ocean, every democracy, every future generation. No more illusions. The world must confront the dragon NOW. Pollution chokes the planet, debt traps enslave nations, and missiles point at freedom. China isn’t rising - it’s the storm threatening to drown us all. Future generations deserve better. Open your eyes. One regime. Endless threats. To peace. To prosperity. To our grandchildren’s world. China as the ultimate adversary—this thread unpacks the nightmare visuals you need to see. Share if you agree: We can’t wait any longer. What will YOU do? 🔥🇨🇳🚨 #chicom #china

In June 2025, the Philippine Coast Guard reported more than 50 Chinese maritime militia vessels “swarming” Rozul Reef within the Philippines’ EEZ. Between 2021 and 2023, Ecuador tracked around 510 Chinese fishing boats operating near the Galápagos EEZ.

Nepal. Bangladesh. Venezuela. Syria. One by one, the cracks are showing. Soon the CCP itself. The collapse is coming—China is bleeding influence and losing allies across the globe, and there’s no stopping the fallout. @_blueskyfly @WarrenVsCCP @AestheticSales_

China’s dark fleet secretly moves sanctioned oil using hidden tankers, fake flags & spoofed AIS tracking. This isn’t just clever; it’s illegal & dangerous. China deliberately breaks sanctions, threatens maritime safety & erodes the rules that keep global trade fair & secure.

@EricLDaugh Trump’s message is clear, America shouldn’t be the world’s unpaid security guard, especially when allies are sleeping at the wheel while Iran chokes the world’s oil arteries. 🇺🇸
