Not only have we had an #UnsafeSeptemberON - Now Special Education teachers that teach Special Programs (students with diverse and complex needs) were told Wednesday that we are now doing a “hybrid model” in our classrooms on MONDAY.

@jessi_cooper @ETFOeducators @ETFOPeel This isn’t new! The email about the closure of ALL Special Programs (not just COMM classes) came down the pipe in 2021-a 5 year phase out at the elementary level. Last year they closed my ASD/DD class.

Here is my ‘Exploration Material’ corner I had during COVID19 protocols… aside from ‘school issued’ unifix cubes, these materials are all mine, years of investing♥️💔❤️…across this province educators have been providing ‘supplies’ and the general public really has no idea.

@MikeJToronto My Daughter lost an entire week due to exams - she is grade 9 and didn’t have math last semester-and add the turn around day- then the PD the following week

My students are losing a total of 4 days of in class instruction because of the OSSLT. I mean what's a little more "learning loss", eh? Not like I was doing anything meaningful in my English class anyway, over aprox a whole week! But at least the Fraser Report is coming.🤦‍♂️ #OntEd

Stephen Lecce @sflecce, just said they recognize that there's a role for PH nurses within our schools and that's why they nearly doubled them, providing mental health supports. Has anyone seen any of these mental health nurses???
