Right?! This is part of our frustration!! Rains destroy our roads bc they only fill potholes when they’re deep enough to cause people to swerve around them to spare their tires. Then, the next slight rain and all the potholes come right back and a little worse each time. They don’t repair and repave/resurface, they only fill temporarily. It’s exhausting given how much we spend in gas taxes and registration fees and don’t even get me started on property taxes.

🤣🤣 SoCal is NOT good. We have some of the absolute worst freeways and roads by far and it’s not even close. I’ve lived here my entire life and have been driving them for almost 40 yrs. They’re a disgrace especially when you consider what we all spend in reg fees and ludicrously stupid gas taxes. Our state gov is incompetent and corrupt AF.

Kiddos in bed... old lady is taking a long relaxing bath with aromatherapy candles... And I got to thinking. Spot has always been my sidekick, through the darkest points of my life as well as the brightest. I've seen him through multiple illnesses, multiple scares, multiple times he'd take on full sized dogs and whip them. A couple years ago, I noticed his appetite really start to change and slow down. Didn't think much of it at the time, he was 12 so I just figured it was age. Then the arthritis started hitting, and id see him still motor through it. Its like he didn't want me to see how bad he was feeling. But something changed when I got with the fiancé. Almost immediately, he bonded with the kiddo and the old lady, and her dogs. And that normally wasn't Spot. And I started noticing more little things. Nothing that said he was really hurting. But like he was giving me permission to take this leap. Since the first of the year, I've really seen Spot go down hill, to slow down, to cuddle with people and other dogs. Then tonight, looking at me while we were all cuddled, I saw something in his eyes. Pain, sadness, almost like he was saying I needed to be tough cause he knows he's about to go to the rainbow bridge and the unending pastures. Gotta call the vet in the morning. Hate to say it, but I think its gonna be one of the hardest things I gotta do, and put him down and ease his pain. Its truthfully killing my head to think about it. The old lady said she'd be there, she'd hold on to him during the last moments. I dont think I can do it. And I can't let her hold Spot in his final breaths. But at the same time, I'm not sure I can do it. I fully admit im being jealous, resorting back to my old ways. But this is just something I have to do myself.
