@KHendersonCo The difference is you have clients who know they still need expert guidance and use AI to help their own understanding. The clients who tried to entirely replace their lawyer with AI are a mess.

Contrary take: 11/10 times I'll take the client that comes to me asking "I ran this through Claude and have a few questions" than the client saying "I have no idea what that means, I'll take your word for it." Maybe my clients are just built different, but the ones using AI are all coming to me with really good questions they wouldn't have otherwise thought to ask. This should be encouraged, not discouraged.

every single person in prof services biz i talk to is seeing this. on avg every 3 prospect comes to me with AI analysis and solutions that are just plain wrong. i think we will have this for next 2-3 years until the market figures out how to adjust for this and/or avg joe figures out how to better use AI

@SteelToeScribe @DrescherLaw You can’t be the partner that fires the purple tri-sexual with one arm. -Firm doesn’t want to be sued -Firm doesn’t want a bad reputation -We all need that person for our Fortune 500 pitch deck. Hmmmm…I wonder when all that changed…

Interesting perspective from someone in the trenches in BigLaw ⬇️
Jon Con Esq.@SteelToeScribe

@DrescherLaw Totally fair analysis. Law firm culture started letting ppl do their thing if they showed production. Of late they started to pull the rug tho. They saw production no matter what, so no sense losing control for it. I’m seeing more Bill Moore Maniacs today than 2 years ago

@carlfranzen @micsolana Maybe focus on treating the non-assassins better. A little shade thrown at this guy might prevent dozens of attempts in the future.

@micsolana I think it could've been better! I think that's the point of civilization and progress -- to do better than what came before.

@RobertMSterling No. Just spend last years bonus the following year. Don’t live in arrears. At some point they said, I’m going to make $1M. I’m going to spend it before I have it. Same problem as someone making $40k.

There’s a simple reason why 40% of people making $500k+ live paycheck to paycheck. And it’s not their spending habits. It’s because of annual bonuses. A lot of people in this income bracket work in finance, law, or executive roles. For people like this, base salaries are often a relatively low $200-250k (before you dunk on me, note the word “relative”!), with the remainder of annual compensation paid through lump-sum performance bonuses in January or February. Because these people make a lot of money *across a full calendar year* but don’t take home nearly as much for 23 out of their 24 paychecks, they often live paycheck to paycheck most of the year—breaking even or even burning more than they earn—but top of their savings and investment accounts in a singular lump sum every bonus season. So, no, most of them are not “living paycheck to paycheck” in any traditional sense of the term. They’re maxing out their 401k accounts, funding large amounts into savings and brokerage accounts, and growing their net worth every year. They’re just not doing it uniformly across every paycheck throughout the year.
Frank Chaparro@fintechfrank

This is pretty wild: A 2025 Goldman Sachs report found that 40% of people earning $500,000+ per year say they’re living paycheck to paycheck.

It’s pretty wild that the single best entertainment you can consume right now is an audiobook about a dude without pants surviving on a post apocalyptic alien reality tv show with his talking cat who shoots lasers out of her eyes and has a pet dinosaur, but… it is.

The cholesterol wars are over. LDL won. New guidelines. Four landmark trials. An oral PCSK9 inhibitor that matches injectables. And data proving we should be treating patients we currently aren't. Here's everything clinicians need to know. 🧵

Absolutely agree. I’ve seen my own number continually increase which is why it’s still a thing for me. But once you have kids I think most guys have a strong pressure/stress to make sure they are ok no matter what. And a big weight lifts when you know objectively that’s the case. And then I heard @Cernovich talk about this and of course they wouldn’t “be ok” if I was gone but they had money…full circle back to wanting to know they’ll be ok without me.

@CoachDanGo Scoop of protein powder after dinner can blunt this. But you should wake up feeling a little hungry. Coffee, oatmeal and another scoop of protein powder.
